A day after the Revolution declined the options on seven players, the team opened its wallet for
long-tenured goalkeeper Matt Reis by signing him to deal that will keep in Foxboro for his 10th
consecutive season. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, per MLS policy.
In 2011, Reis made 27 starts, recorded five shutouts and posted a 1.

Fewer than 48 hours after goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts was named to the Galaxy Asian tour roster
he was traded to the expansion Montreal Impact Monday for allocation money and obviously is not now
with the club on its first stop in Indonesia.
We are only four days from the culmination of the 2011 season and I don't know about all of you,
but I'm ready. Alas, we must be patient and in an attempt to give you something to focus on ahead
of the game, I figured it would be good to offer up my analysis of the two teams and who I see
having the advantage, at least on paper.
On the defensive side of the game, the Seattle Sounders had three near iron-men. Three players
whose presence on the pitch made difference. Three men who highlight why this is a "defensive"
player rather than defender of the year vote.
Furthest up the pitch is Osvaldo Alonso, the Honey Badger.
Sporting KC's +10 goal difference is only the second time in team history their goal difference has
been in double digits positively.
Matt Besler ended the season playing 2,880 minutes in league play, tied for the 3rd most in team
history for a single season with Preki in 1996 and Bo Oshoniyi in 2005.
This is the moment Meath Referee Cormac Reilly awarded Dublin an injury-time
free that Bernard Brogan slotted over the bar to beat Kildare by a single point in the Leinster
Football Semi-Final yesterday. Terrible Decision!
I guess this is part 2 of yesterday's post, but today we're looking at Roy's record at subbing
in the second half when down at half time. Thankfully, for my archiving-searching-sake at least, it
only happened five times during the 08/09 season. From F365:

ExtraTime Radio on Tuesday.
Adin Brown became a fan favorite while backstopping the Revs to the MLS Cup in 2002.
