Liverpool FC has earmarked a future move to sign Dutch international striker...
Although much of the world's football activity has moved towards the internationals, Arsenal
continue to make headlines on the domestic front, with uncertainty over the future of the captain's
armband causing more unrest at the Emirates Stadium.
In the aftermath of the Gunners' 2-1 derby day defeat to the Spurs on Sunday, goalkeeper
Wojciech Szczesny told reporters that one day, he is looking forward to the day he assumes the
club's captaincy and also hinted at a future move to Barcelona if the opportunity arises.
Wojciech Szczesny has refused to rule out following former captain Cesc Fabregas and switching
from Arsenal to Barcelona.
But Szczesny admits any future move to the current European Champions would not be motivated by
money.
The Metro this morning reports that the 21-year-old described the club as 'his second home' in
an interview with the Polish media this week, but refused to rule out following a lengthy list of
former Gunners' stars in joining the Spanish giants.
While nothing official has been stated, some Santos Laguna fan has jumped the gun on Wikipedia and
announced him as the new head coach. Other fans on their club site state that this is the beginning
of an effort to improve Santos, including a future move to "lure" Landon Donovan to Mexico after
the end of the current MLS season.
