Abhinav's note: After having spent a year-long hiatus from BFZ (oh yeah,
writing funny stuff is unbelievably tough) lovelorn, flirting with scorn, footballing porn &
popcorn, the ‘inner child in me' a.k.a. the Cynical Jerk makes a less-than-pompous return trying
to make sense of things like no one else does.
It's Tuesday, it's hot out, and it's another day of Musket Rounds. Today's pretty much chock
full of news, including a wealth of New England Revolution talk and some news on our old friend
Clint Dempsey. I've always said his best fit in the EPL would be with Arsenal, even though I can't
stand the Gunners; perhaps Brendan Rodgers' new system will suit him better.
A great clip sent into the guy's on Soccer am shows a guy celebrating and falling
over after his team gets a goal last week funny stuff. Keep up-to date on all the funny
going on's on this fabulous show on Saturday mornings on Sky One, or alternatively if you miss it

You have to love this latest video in the Steve Nash versus Landon
Donovan series for the release of FIFA 2011 and also the impending battle that both will
face at the EA SPORTS Pro Player Challenge. The EA SPORTS Pro Player Challenge
will pit pro soccer players against each other to see who is the best gamer.
ESPN.com columnist Leander Schaerlaeckens, who should be on the All-Interesting Name Team himself,
recently penned an entertaining article about the MLS All-Interesting Team. Set up in every award
systems' favorite 3-5-2 formation, Leander included a pair of Kansas City Wizards in the midfield.
Here's a great tip from one of our NCNB readers in Los Angeles. A funny lady, Grace Parra, cracking
some jokes (beware: locker room humor - and I'm not talking MLS locker room, I'm talking 7th grade
boys locker room - appears throughout the clip) with some LA Galaxy players in the bowels of the
Home Depot Center.
Leave it up to BBC making fun of Sky Sports to bring you this hilarious spot of hyperbole. (See
what we did there...spot, like spot of tea, as a British person would say? Aren't we clever.) Watch
and enjoy:
Who knew, but apparently Woody Harrelson is soccer guy. He didn't start playing until he was 40,
but now he has scored a winning penalty in a major match at Old Trafford. Read this Yahoo! Sports
post for all the details.
Keystone College, a small, private university in La Plume, Pennsylvania, is proud of its alumni. So
are we. Wizards smooth operator Dan Drelich was featured by Keystone on their website for all the
hard work he's put in for us since graduating from Keystone in 2008. Check out the article to learn
a little more about one of our operations dudes.
Take a look at this excellent video piece put together by Blue Valley North students about their
classmate and new Wizards goalkeeper Jon Kempin. He's a senior in high school and a professional
athlete. Sounds sweet, doesn't it?
Jon 3:16 from Studio 424 on Vimeo.
Unfortunately, Jon will have to miss our match Saturday night.
We Tweeted about it not too long ago, but the first video below is worth sharing. Dave Stala, slot
back for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL, scored a nice touchdown Saturday night and capped it
off with a terrific soccer-centric celebration. Take a look. Below that is a compilation sports
video from Yahoo!
Are you kidding me?! Check out this crazy own goal that we spotted on Yahoo! Sports' Dirty Tackle
Blog. Who was the back-up 'keeper for Waterford United in the game? Former Wizards GK Chris
Konopka. Nuts:
Wizards fan Felipe de Jesus Gaucho has created the following video of juggling all around Kansas
City. Take a look. It's pretty long, but at the end, enjoy watching his unfortunate plight when he
doesn't have any cash on him at Taqueria Mexico. Gaucho was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, is a ref
in addition to playing and coaching soccer.

Brian Clough's statue muses on his life and what's happening in the world today... Well, I've seen
lots of folk walking about with England shirts on, and the flags and bunting are coming out all
over the place. Everyone's full of hope that we can win this World Cup, including me. Sounds to me

Brian Clough's statue muses on his life and what's happening in the world today... Well, when I
wake up on a Sunday morning it always looks like someone's dropped a bloody bomb on Market Square.
There's chip paper getting blown around me ears, polystyrene trays swirling around me feet, and I'm
surrounded by half eaten pizzas [.
By now you have all likely seen the roster for this 'Five-Game Tournament' - but have you seen the
Twitter roster?
We created a list with the Twitter feeds from all of the players on the current Men's National Team
roster so you can follow their tweets throughout the trip. Click here to check it out.
Manchester City striker Samir Nasri was abused by Liverpool fans whilst driving home after City's
1-0 defeat in the League Cup semi-final first leg. Funny stuff, especially when a clearly pissed
off Samir Nasri decides to break the speed limit as he zoomed off into the distance! Related

When a journalist asks Ian Holloway if he has "man love" for Spurs coach Harry
Redknapp it causes an eruption of laughter. Very funny stuff, but as usual Holloway takes it in his
stride!
The Friday before Halloween is scary wherever you go. Our offices are no different. Check out the
dressed-up crew.I don't think that's the kind of Gorilla that the Snookis prefer.
Do you or don't you want our stadium to have a trap door for people who misbehave (dive) on the
pitch (Fredy Montero)? Once again, thanks Dirty Tackle.
This is NSR (Not Soccer Related) and some language in video is NSFW (Not Suitable for Work), but I
couldn't resist posting this about a chimp that got loose today in Kansas City.
If you watched the broadcast this weekend, you probably saw the bit during our pre-game show about
Mike Flaherty, our beloved equipment dude. If you missed it or just want to see it again,
enjoy!
Checked in on the Google Analytics today as we prepare to launch a few new pages / site designs for
the new [fantasy] Premier League season. Make sure to come back soon for some cool new layouts.
In the meantime, here are a few off the wall search terms from Google that ended up at our doors
since July 1st.
This picture is stolen from The Offside Rules (MLS Insider), but I agree with his assertion that it
is the best photo ever. Mr. Obama seems to be happy. We all know Mr. Beckham isn't.
