Ashley Cole, Jermain Defoe, Carlton Cole, Dion Dublin and Ian Walker were among players who
appeared at the London Soccer Dome last night in support of the England Footballers Foundation's
inaugral 'EFF Charity Cup'.
The FFA and Adelaide United held their breadth at the Asian Casino last night...and won.
United have won direct entry into the Asian Champions League - meaning Australia now has three

More exciting than watching Lou Sticca's fundraiser in Melbourne?
As you know, Sounder at Heart does not have any official supporters' group affiliation. We do,
however, consider ourselves friends of most of them. If you'd like to know any of them better, we
highly recommend that you attend one of their two end-of-year parties. As it turns out, Kasey
Keller is scheduled to be at both of them.
Can't shake it.
Just can't shake it.
The US Men's team came under fire after Friday's loss to France for its inability to create
attacking chances and it's failure to scintillate under new manager Jurgen Klinsmann. For a brief
moment now, with a 3-2 victory on the road in Slovenia, the nervous fidgeting that was beginning
to surround the team and it's new manager has quelled.
Michael Lahoud has turned heads this year in more than one way. Apart from his steady play, he's
shown that one of the most notable factors about him is his motivation to give back to the
community. Born in Sierra Leone and now plying his trade for Chivas USA, the former WakeForest
midfielder is an integral part of the "Date a Chiva" fundraiser.
Editor's note: I added this to the FP because I thought there
were enough big names that it could be pretty fun. - Jeremiah
Thought I would share this email I received from the Sounders about a fundraising event for
America SCORES happening Thursday in Ballard. Prize drawings and appearances by Steve
Zakuani, Brad Evans, Sigi Schmid, Adrian Hanauer and the USOC trophy.
Two of the three Blues Brothers meet at Ibrox in what no doubt will be an excellent, festive way
to close the preseason. I'm looking forward to this one.
I've always liked Rangers. Great club. For us to complete our preseason schedule in Glasgow,
then, is a welcome sight.
Liverpool FC captain Steven Gerrard made dreams come true for a Wirral charity which helps children
with cerebral palsy.
The Reds star joined in a group session with six youngsters at Stick ‘n' Step in Wallasey.
His Steven Gerrard Foundation, established in January to support children with disabilities or with
a history of neglect, has donated £5,000 to the group.

The autographed, game-worn jerseys from the U.S. Women's World Cup Team who faced Japan on May 14

Happy Friday everyone. The Seattle Sounders are back in action today at the stadium formerly
know as Qwest field as they attempt to stop an early slide to the 2011 season. The Houston Dynamo
are not the same side that defeated the Sounders in the 2009 playoffs. The Dynamo are in a
rebuilding year having brought in new players to replace those lost to contracts overseas.
Some people questioned why trialists weren't included in the estimated depth chart. This was two
fold, most of the trialists in camp right now I have not seen play, secondly they almost certainly
not going to be on the roster. Akeem Adams, Tye Perdido, Kerry Baptiste and more; we've seen dozens
flow through Sounders training over the past few years.

The team and I at OnlineSoccerAcademy.com and our event partners and volunteers have been working
very hard on this event for three months now. It is off to a great start and we have a lot of
soccer clubs and professional players on board to participate.
