As the preseason gets into full swing and rosters begin to stabilize, it's time to take a look at
the men who pull the strings and have the greatest impact on the team itself. The modern manager
is part tactician, ...

Batman without the bat signal. Superman sans the cape. Mr. Clean without that rough and tumble
earring. Every hero needs an icon. And justice, a diffuse concept that is not easily grasped by
materialistic minds, needs a hero. Always. Since the start of time; 'til the end of time.

... but he still makes millions and has won both the Euro and World Cup. (Dammit!) Strange dealing,
no, in England with the Premier League in full swing in the midweek as the January transfer window
comes closing down. We'll explore it more on Friday when I have a little more time to blog the
night away.
Another major component of the Revolution attack will not be returning this year, as Danish
newspaper Jydske Vestkysten is reporting that Rajko Lekic has signed a six-month contract
with Lyngby. Terms of the deal will reportedly be published on Monday.
Lekic is the second Revolution striker this month to take his services elsewhere.
There's nothing quite like the phrase 'Chicago Fire game'. In the cold months of December and
January, it can be difficult to remember the team plays these things. It's why the Chicago Fire
Soccer Club exists.
Preseason has been in full-swing for over a week, it's time to see strategy in action.
The first phase of the Chicago Fire's 2012 pre-season is in full swing. About 36 players are
working with the Chicago Fire technical staff down in Ave Maria, Florida. Marco Pappa recently
arrived in camp. New striker Federico Puppo resolved his visa issues and made his way to the
Sunshine State. Sean Johnson just wrapped up his recent USMNT call-up.
Is Jack the lad preparing for his Arsenal comeback sooner than we thought? I am only asking as
the wonder that is Wilshere seems to be in the mood to play again and we know this because he has a
new pair of boots made by Nike especially for his return from injury.
Our very own wonderkid, 20, has had the boot stitched with the name of his new son on it and
surely this can only mean he is ready to get back in action (Lord knows we desperately need him)
any time soon?
African Cup of Nations 2012 preview: An open tournament expected with some big names missing -

With the likes of Cameroon, Nigeria and South Africa failing to qualify for this year's African
Cup of Nations, the stage is set for some of the smaller nations to fight for glory.
As per usual the standard crazy transfer talk is in full swing in line with the opening of the
January transfer window.
Demba Ba has been linked with Man United, with his agent claiming that this is complete rubbish.
Interestingly, there is a release fee in his contract and so if a club bids this amount then Ba is
allowed to begin talks regarding a move.

Greetings, Untold Media readers, and may I first wish all of you a very happy holiday season. UM
will be back in full swing following the holidays. However, in the interim, I thought we might have
a little bit of fun [.
All across the Serie A, 'tis the season! The holiday season is in full swing – and
throughout the Italian peninsula, Serie A clubs have indulged in some very special celebrations.
Here's a random sampling of all the Christmas cheer.
The Napoli boys participated in a rather interesting photo shoot, the product of which will

Following the International break, we are back in the full swing of club football with Arsenal
playing their third game in a week; what with City on Tues, Wigan on Saturday and Olympiakos the
following Tues, we are busy. Long may it remain thus because it means we are in all
competitions.

As the ACC Tournament gets into full swing tonight at campus sites up and down the East Coast,
all signs point to a rematch of last year's final between top-seeded North Carolina and No. 2
Maryland.
That's not to say other schools won't make a push as they look to secure postseason berths.

The playoffs are now in full swing and, with the loss to Houston on Sunday, the Philadelphia
Union are in need of goals if they are to advance to the Eastern Conference Final. Where have the
Union's goals came from this season? The question arose after I noticed how often the Dynamo scored
from crosses this year (as we now well know after Sunday).
Happy Halloween from all of us at A Football Report!
What better indication of the very last glimmer of summer departing is there than kids dressing
up as monsters ready to pillage all your sweets when sunset arrives? Nevertheless, the ambiance of
autumn is in full swing and, thankfully, the football never stops.
Late October is a funny time of year. Your first or second favourite club is now in full swing
across the ocean, while your second or first favourite club is wrapping up their season with a game
steeped in frivolity and mediocrity. Toronto closes out their season against a side who was
eliminated from the post-season sometime in mid-July.

The International break means there's little Fulham news to talk about. England did what they
needed to do and qualified for Euro 2012 but the press had a field day over Rooney's sending off.
How perfect for the British media that the man most in the spotlight should rise to the bait and
give them something to write about.

With the MLS playoff race in full swing, and the U.S. national team ready to play a pair of

After the rest of the Eastern Conference playoff contenders choked on their mediocrity
yesterday, the Philadelphia Union can return to the top of the pops with a win over Chivas USA
tonight.
No pressure.
It would be easy to say that the Red Bulls needed a late bit of wonderskill from Thierry Henry
to tie Toronto because the Red Bulls suck.
I've got an apology to make. I've been screwing up the payouts. For example, if you bet $5
on a 2:1, I've been paying out $10, but really you should get $15 since your original bet should be
returned as well. I don't really care though because we're giving you free monopoly money to play
with so no complaints!

Looking for alternatives
Injuries once again hog the headlines with regards to Arsenal Football Club. I know it happens
to every single club and not only to ours. The feeling for us though is the only one I care about.
Every single season since the last major trophy that we won, our squad has been besieged with
injuries, not just those minor ones but also long term ones.
As the regular season winds down I'm going to be posting a weekly summary of the some of the
data and predictions we're generating, which should give you some context going into each week of
games.
Previous Week
MLS play got back into the full swing of things last week after the international break, and it
was a week that had a dramatic impact on the state of the league.

After a Labor Day weekend dominated by international fixtures and a schedule watered down by
Hurricane Irene the week before, MLS is finally back in full swing this weekend with a packed
slate of matches.
The Seattle Sounders are back in action this weekend after a well deserved break. They take on
Real Salt Lake team that looks like its coming back into form and ready to make a late run into the
playoffs. RSL needs three points here in Seattle to catch FC Dallas and avoid a wildcard play-in
game. The Sounders need a win to keep themselves in the hunt for the Supporter's Shield.
Hello everybody. It's that time again. Time for us to discuss all things soccer in the latest
SBI Live Q&A.
With the U.S. men's national team set to play a pair of friendlies, the MLS season hitting the
playoff stretch drive, the college season getting underway and the European club season having
