I'm going to attempt to keep this short because, quite frankly, spitting viciously vile vitriol
is not how I'd like to spend my Saturday afternoon. Virulence really isn't going to get us
anywhere.
But, shit, I'm fucking pissed.
Don't worry, it got much worse.

Right. Straight off the bat, Pies would like to clarify that we're not saying this is 100%
definitely the design for Arsenal's new home kit for 2012/13.
What we are saying is that this mock-up has been drafted by
Arsenalinsider, who have a decent hit-rate on these sorts of things and who are
also claiming to have been privy to a photo of the actual design courtesy of a deepthroat informant
in the Nike camp and that they are willing to stand by their reproduction 'such is the strength of
belief in their source'.

CARSON, Calif. -- The rich got even richer on Tuesday as the Los Angeles Galaxy solidified
their role as odds-on MLS Cup favorites by re-securing Brazilian midfielder Juninho on a year-long
loan.
Juninho, who served as the Galaxy's midfield engine during the past two seasons, returns to Los
Angeles after departing in December to return to Brazilian parent club Sao Paulo.

Thierry Henry's return to Arsenal may last just a little longer than expected, according to
manager Arsene Wenger.
The French striker has enjoyed his brief loan spell at Arsenal, netting a goal in the club's
7-1 win over the weekend.
The Football is Fixed prediction of a seriously brand damaging scandal within the British game this
year is coming to fruition nicely - not just with Redknapp/Mandaric, Portsmouth FC and Rangers FC
but with the occurrence of both "a betting accident live on tv" and the inappropriate control over
the selection of match officials as well.
Like many Americans of my generation, I fell in love with football at age 14 during the 1994
World Cup.
Prior to 1994, I did not even realize that you could play football professionally. I figured it was
something to do for fun. It was nothing more than a PE activity to do in between American football
and basketball seasons.
Much has been made in many circles over the past month or so about Man Utd's lack of
talent and depth in their central midfield, and with their "reincarnation" of veteran retiree
Paul Scholes, it appears that there are people at the club who agree with that opinion. Despite
the January transfer window, it appears that Sir Alex Ferguson's pledge to not add to his playing
staff "unless the right man becomes available" will come to fruition.
A significant portion of the proceeds ($10 per scarf) from all pre-orders this week of the
new Pitch Invasion bar scarf will be donated to benefit the Operation Pitch Invasion charity in
Portland, Oregon. Here's why...
When supporters of the Portland Timbers, organized by the 107ist Trust and Timbers Army,
announced in 2011 that they were launching a new charity called Operation Pitch Invasion to support
the growth of the game at the grassroots level in Portland, Pitch Invasion's interest was piqued by
more than just the Doppelgänger.

The long-rumored friendly between the United States and Italy appears to have come to
fruition.
The Italian soccer federation announced that the Azzurri will host the United States at Stadio
Luigi Ferraris in Genoa on Feb. 29, the first FIFA international fixture date of the new year.

In no particular order, Pies' ten-strong run down of the rumoured January deals we'd absolutely
love to see come to fruition for one reason or another...
1. Didier Drogba (Chelsea) to Shanghai Shenhua...
Word is that there are several Chinese clubs queuing up to throw upwards of £400,000-a-week at
The Drog in order to coerce him into semi-retirement.
After the wild final day of the January window and a finish to the season that was reason enough
for optimism, all eyes turned toward the summer. Even with the relatively disappointing end to the
campaign, Liverpool looked to have the opportunity to strengthen a squad that seemed just a few
pieces away from truly challenging the league leaders on a consistent basis.
Next week, the Portland Timbers could be making some significant player announcements. Part of
their plan could be an acquisition during the second round of the MLS Re-Entry Draft taking place
on December 12, as the league released the full list of available players today. While Seattle and
Vancouver announced significant signings this week, I think the Timbers have a master plan that
will soon come to fruition.
With six rounds completed in this A-League season, things do not seem to be going as smoothly as we
thought they would. All the glitz and glamour of the arrival of Harry Kewell, and pre season hype
about our embarrassment of riches up front hasn't exactly come to fruition. The report card isn't
exactly glowing
The air conditioned stadiums that are supposed to combat the heat during the 2022 World Cup
might have been a major selling point of Qatar's World Cup bid, but they might never come to
fruition.
The architects in charge of designing Qatar's World Cup stadiums are reportedly against having
air conditioning in the arenas.
Two Chinese youngsters have realized a dream by beginning a week-long trial with Liverpool Football
Club.
Lung Chan, 16, and Chen Nal, 15, arrived in the city on Wednesday ahead of a seven-day spell at the

A meet and greet with the likes of Frank McParland and Damien Comolli was first on the agenda prior
to a Thursday evening training session with the Reds' U16 squad.
I'm certain that Jurgen Klinsmann is a smart soccer coach. He's trying to build something that
will probably take about 8 years or so to come to fruition with the United States National Team. It
involves many layers, not just the current senior team, but a couple Olympics teams, many U20/U17
teams, MLS, the lower divisions, college, Academies, and youth teams.

HARRISON, N.J. -- With the U.S. national team frequently playing in the New York-New Jersey

who call the region home.
The Philly Soccer Page " Match report: Seattle 0-2 Union
After watching their team win the US Open Cup on Tuesday, Sounders fans were not prepared to see
the Union waltz into Seattle and take a deserved three points off a lethargic home side.
Adu goal puts Union back in first place | Philadelphia Daily News | 10/10/2011
JUST A WEEK after looking like it might fall out of the playoff race, the Union is back in first
place in MLS' Eastern Conference following Saturday night's 2-0 victory in Seattle.
The eyebrow that sees an Arsenal future?
Carlo Ancelotti has been taking time off from the sport. But he makes no bones about a return to
coaching in England, now his preferred destination. Arsenal is amongst the clubs he has set his
sights on. The other two are Liverpool and Spurs.
To be shocked at the crass commercialism in today's money-soaked English Premiership is to be
slightly naive. To develop a toothache upon hearing about how today's top flight clubs sell their
souls to fund their businesses or discover sneakier means of getting their hands deeper into your
wallets, however, is perfectly normal.
Sometimes I get these weird feelings, like something meaningful is about to happen.
It may be intuition. It may be linked to something that someone told me in confidence. Or, in
all honestly, these "feelings" may just be the product of too much spicy food. You never know.
Either way, I'm getting a "feeling" these days related to MLS .
Benfica forward Oscar Cardozo is set to pen a deal keeping him the club until at least 2016.
The Paraguayan's current deal will keep him at the club until 2014, how an offer of a two-year
extension is expected to warn off interest in the striker.
Liverpool had reportedly been interested in the 28-year-old, however the player's agent Pedro
Aldave says he is currently negotiating the extension.
Staying Put: Ten Expected Summer Transfers That Weren't - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
For every confirmed transfer in any given summer transfer window, there's another ten that fall
short of completion or being remotely plausible. That's the way it seems, at least.
Even with the misses in mind, a lot and I mean a lot of money changes hands every summer, as
players notable and not leave for new pastures, some greener and some not.
Now that the transfer window has finally closed, there are mixed emotions all around. Some of us
are delighted that our football clubs were able to go out there and take care of business. Some
others, meanwhile, are not too happy with what their teams did at all.
Then, there are those who are simply relieved that the center of attention for the next few
months will be the football on the field and not the transfer activity happening behind closed
doors.
A little light this week. Lots going on at the TSG Hall of Justice. That's a good thing.
• Arsenal: Poor fantasy trading?
The man who would be Cesc....
The skinny: Well, how did you think they made out. Let's put it this
way. If I told you at the beginning of, say, June that Arsenal would add Per Mertesacker, Mikel
Arteta and Yossi Benayoun, you would would probably say the London club was prepping for a run for
the top of the table adding in bit parts to around a core of Wilshere, Nasri, and Cesc.
Transfer Rumors: Last-Minute Deals Galore On Deadline Day - originally posted on
Soccerlens.com
So, we've made it to the end of yet another wild summer transfer window. Here's hoping that your
favorite side made the additions that you hoped they would, or just as importantly, didn't subtract
anyone of great importance without failing to find a proper replacement.
Yossi Benayoun is now an Arsenal loan move
Looks like the Mikel Arteta link went cold. Its now Yossi Benayoun who is Arsenal's last minute
and increasingly desperate choice to find quality in the attacking third. A number of sources are
coalescing around the odds the Chelsea midfielder will land up at the Emirates on a loan move.
A quick round-up of where we stand on various transfers as we approach the final few hours of
the summer transfer window:
Ju Young Park was officially announced this afternoon, the arrival
means that the exit of Nicklas Bendtner is more probable, though nothing is
currently in place.
Transfer Rumors: Chelsea Preparing Final Modric Bid? - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
As one would expect, the final Sunday before the end of the summer transfer window is rife with
speculation from far and wide. Some of it will come to fruition, while a fair bit will crash and
burn over the next few days.
Transfer Rumors: One Final Chelsea Bid For Modric? - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
With Luka Modric not taking part tonight in Tottenham's Europa League playoff
tie against Hearts, speculation of a big-money move to Chelsea is still alive and kicking. But will
it come to fruition, or will Tottenham be able to keep Modric in North London?
MLS Changes Young International DP Rules
Essentially, MLS sees the need to bring in younger international DPs. To promote this they will
half the cap hit for international DPs under 20, and reduce the cap hit for those 20 to 23. This is
an interesting move, but not one I'm sure really is going to push the ideal they hope to see to
fruition.
Arsenal came to Toon to play and play they did.
The first half was predictably all Arsenal, controlled possession and lots of through balls for
Gervinho and Arshavin to chase. Gervinho did extremely well on his Premier League debut and there
is much more to come from the talented Ivorian. Ramsey busied himself about in the middle of the
park and did very well, the midfield trio of Ramsey, Song and Rosicky functioned well and snuffed
out any attacking threat from Barton, Tiote and Cabaye whilst piling more pressure on
Newcastle.
Fernando Torres has been featured on Chelsea TV fresh from scoring the second of our two goals
against Aston Villa the other day and has spoken of his goal, confidence and how things have been
going this pre season.
He said:
"It gives you confidence when you score with the first ball you touch, but especially
because with a 2-0 lead we closed the game.
Transfer market season is always chock-full of speculation and surprises. Often, the overwhelming
majority of rumors that find their way into mainstream media outlets never come to fruition. With a
number of prized assets on the Palermo roster and the team's policy of steady turnover each year,
the transfer window is always seen with a skeptical eye especially for the most astute Palermo.
Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) want manager Kenny Dalglish to sell members of his squad

The Reds have already embarked in a £40million recruitment drive this summer, resulting in Stewart

After six plus years of coverage, it's time for this boy to bid you goodbye. I'm moving to St

Every transfer window is marred (or spiced up, whichever way you look at it), with that one
controversial switch. We've had a few of those already this time round, with a manager making the
headlines for once. Alex McLeish's move to Villa was the stuff the Hollywood tabloid writers have
wet dreams about.
Tottenham's Transfer Window Tactics Coming to Fruition - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
Despite a worrying start to the transfer window, it seems Daniel Levy and Harry Redknapp
may well have ridden out the storm and face a late summer full of optimism.
When the calendar page turned to June, the news from White Hart Lane, was more to do with who
was going than who was coming.

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. -- The Chicago Fire and Real Salt Lake played Wednesday's match as though each
