Eduardo's back heel onto Arshavin, who runs and takes the ball and finds the pass to Diaby, who
sets himself up and scores.
That my friends was the goal of the night and the fourth for Arsenal against AZ Alkmaar. The
football recently played by Arsenal is nothing short of phenomenal, offensively of course.

Liverpool have handed a trial to Norwegian youngster Christian Landu Landu, according to the
player's agent.
The 17-year-old has also been linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester United and
Spurs.
But it appears as though The Reds have stolen a march on their rivals by taking a closer look at
the Viking youngster.

When Don Garber finally assented to allowing the Chivas USA franchise to call Los Angeles its
home in 2004, it was a sacrifice. The MLS cares about geographic expansion, and was looking to
grow into Canada, the Northwest, and back into Florida. Adding a team into a well-established
market, and have that team plant itself at the Home Depot Center was not part of the long-term
plan.

I read Mihir Bose's article on Harry's comments relating to the players Arsenal are bringing
on.
Harry made a few interesting comments that I never knew were not in fruition at Spurs. For example,
he said that Arsenal "have got full-time scouts all around the world and they have invested
heavily".

I'm sitting in a hotel in Addis Ababa - the Ethiopian capital. For the past 72 hours, I've had no
internet access and very little idea of what was happening back home. I'm here on a nine day work
trip and things have been going well - thanks for asking. There's part of me that wished I'd never
logged on tonight, because what I've just seen has made me very upset.

Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse, news tonight emanating from St. James Park
is that Mike Ashley has removed Newcastle United from the market and the club is no longer for
sale.
Here is the press release in full from the club's official website:
NEWCASTLE United are delighted to announce that Chris Hughton has been named the permanent
manager of the Club, his contract will run until the end of the 2010/11 season.

Shortly after we posted up the much talked about Thierry Henry to RBNY rumors
on the page, TheOffside Editor Daryl Grove took us all on a journalistic back tracking mission to
disavow the validity of the headline, basically stating that the news was unsubstantiated, and that
many journo's simply did not fact check their stories before running with them.

Joan Laporta is one of those mysterious characters in world football; a man who
has never fully gained universal respect for his efforts at Barcelona mainly due to his
unfavourable approach to controlling the club. Put on top of that the fact he acquired the role of
president via the unfulfilled promise of bringing David Beckham to the club (who we all know ended
up at Barca's bitter rivals Real Madrid) and its not hard to see why Catalonians have always felt a
bit cautious with him at the helm.

Everton manager David Moyes is keen to land former West Ham United defender Lucas Neill. Everton
are short of options at the back following Phil Neville's recent injury, and Neill certainly fits
Everton's budget. The Australian has been on a free transfer since the expiration of his contract
at Upton Park at the conclusion of last season.

The Kansas City Wizards first played in Arrowhead Stadium (home of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs
in Kansas City, Missouri), and created quite the echo chamber with attendance barely in five
figures in a stadium holding 80,000. Then in 2007, they moved to a stadium that barely holds five
figures, CommunityAmerica Ballpark (home of minor league baseball team the T-Bones in Kansas City,
Kansas), an oddly angled fit for soccer and too small for the Wizards.

Together for the moment
The much-anticipated return of La Liga began with a scintillating match between the new
galácticos of Real Madrid and the pesky Deportivo La Coruña, who always gives Madrid a run for
their money, literally. Because of the continued suspension of Pepe and the tendinitis suffered
by Sergio Ramos, the Real Madrid defense was not at full strength, and Ezequiel Garay and Álvaro
Arbeloa started in their positions respectively.

He may look like he's 40, but he's entering the prime of his career
This one makes decent enough sense to me. A transfer rumor, of course, that probably won't come to
fruition - but one that would make United a much more dangerous team...
Arjen Robben to Manchester United.
Robben - who has more often than not made the headlines "Robben Suffers Injury Blow" or "Robben Out
4-6 Weeks" rather than "Robben Man of the Match," could resurrect his career in the Premier League
after a few on-and-off seasons in La Liga with Real Madrid.

After three years and 61 episodes, I've decided to call an end to the podcast. I arrived at this
decision yesterday after realizing I could no longer motivate myself to put forth the effort
necessary to do the show every two weeks. As I said on the last episode, I had some ideas but I
couldn't bring them to fruition.

Roberto Martinez got off to a brilliant start as the manager of Wigan Athletic by securing all
three points away from home at Villa Park.
Hugo Rodallega's strike around the half-hour mark may be one of the contestants for the goal of
the season, and it took the Latics into the lead.
Villa looked to attack at every given opportunity, but it never really reached fruition and
eventually they went down by another goal in the second half.
