Match highlights were hard to find

After days where the friendly between Sporting KC and French Ligue 1 champions Montpellier appeared
on both Ticket Master and the schedule on the Sporting KC website, the team officially announced

Roger Espinoza will be back with his national team midweek next week for an international date.
Honduras will be taking on Argentine club side, Boca Juniors in Miami on Wednesday August 15th.
Espinoza is one of 6 MLS players that have been called up for the game. The good news for Kansas
City is that for the first time in a long time they don't have a midweek game this week so Espinoza
is unlikely to miss any games with this call up as he should be back with the team for their game
against Toronto on the 18th at BMO Field.
No full review of last night's friendly, but some odds and ends that I observed. First though, the
news of the day. Colorado signed goalkeeper Matt Pickens to a multi-year contract extension today.
As always terms were not released but we'll see the new salary when the Players Union updates its
salary list.

Following on from the 12.30pm kick-off at nearby Baldock I head nine miles eastwards along the A505
to Royston. I arrived at the ground with around twenty minutes before kick-off, but due to parking
being at a premium I parked at the Town Hall car park, which is a few minutes walk away and only
cost 50p due to it being free after 3pm.
