It seems there is a new WAG on the scene with Christine Bleakley announcing to her friends that she
is dating the England and Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. Bleakley is said to be comforting
Lampard after his recent thigh injury and had stayed at his £3million London townhouse on Friday
night only leaving at [.

Greetings, Dynamo fans. As we are all well aware, our beloved Orange fell short of the 2009
championship. It was a valiant effort against David Beckham and the LA Galaxy. Watching from
Houston, the Dynamo played well on Friday night, but early Saturday was a different story.
As midnight passed, LA took advantage of two costly fouls by Ricardo Clark.

Friday night and we're on our second LAPL game in 5 days, back at Crossroads we're 2-0 down to
Penmar at half-time. We're really not concentrating, or working anything like as hard as we need
to, and though we're a couple of first-choicers light (Nick, Jeff, Mike, David, Theo all out)
credit to Penmar - they capitalize.

So who watched the game Friday night between Los Angeles and Houston? Or should I say who
watched the semi-final match Saturday morning?Â
If you did watch the match, then you know exactly what I am talking about. You know that it
was one of the worst planned and executed playoff matches in American sports history.

Well, turns out Jozy Altidore, Clint Dempsey & Co. have about as much drawing power in Eastern
Europe as Anvil. For whatever the reason Friday night I decided to stay up through multiple power
outages for the MLS Western Conference Final between the Galaxy and Dynamo. During the match the
thought drifted into my head about Saturday's USMNT/Slovakia friendly -- why wouldn't Bob Bradley
simply roll

Pity poor Don Garber.
No, not because he has to put up with reporters all the time; he handles himself pretty well
amongst the unwashed, freeloading, neck-plastic wearing keyboard bangers of the world:
YouTube- Don Garber comments nd gets into shouting match with reporter YouTube- Don Garber comments

But so far, the Conference Championship weekend, one of the biggest TV ratings grabs of the MLS
season, has been, if not a disaster then the next best thing to it.

Wow, I never thought at this age level that I would see a game like we had Tuesday night against
OSA Inferno. These girls were big and not afraid to throw down! Literally within the first 3
minutes an OSA forward leveled our middle defender. She wasn't going for the ball in any way. It
was a knee driven into the thigh and a hip-check as Taylor brought the ball to her right.

EDIT - BREAKING NEWS! Preki re-nominated for Hall of Fame! Feel free to factor in his performance
over the weekend. (Yes, I know you're not supposed to.)
Now that I've got my head out of the oven, let's warm up with some trivia.
Depending on what happens Friday night, one bit of statistical weirdness will fall.

Clint Dempsey has scored from the spot for Fulham in the first half against Wigan, earning him a
league turkey for strikes in three consecutive frames. That game is ongoing, knotted at
ones.Yesterday, we had Leeds United's Mike Grella and Wycombe's Jon-Paul Pittman bag their first
career FA Cup goals.

Well you wouldn't have expected this. Coach McKinna asked Kwasnic, Simon and Mijra to all step up
and score and they did.
On Friday night, Adelaide's Coach Vidmar joked that his side needed to play 4 up front to score.
Well, once his side was down 0-1 to Kwasnic's cracking half bicycle, Melbourne's Coach Merrick
tried just that.

The twelfth round of the Torneo Apertura 2009 got underway on Saturday, and I'm afraid to say,
following the midweek round of matches and the fact I was out on Friday night, that it caught me
out. On Saturday, champions Vélez hosted and brushed aside Godoy Cruz, before Racing Racing! gave

Guingamp travel to Laval on Friday night in an attempt to revive their season and pull
themselves clear of relegation.
EAG and now just one place and one point above the drop zone and a defeat tomorrow night could
see them drop into the relegation zone for the first time this season.
Laval have only managed one win in their last five games, that was a 2-0 win away at Havre
AC.

I really have only one thing to say about yesterday's performance. My girlfriend and I were out
to dinner Friday night and the topic of the Liverpool match came up. She asked me if I was
nervous/if she should avoid being in the apartment Sunday morning and I (like an idiot) told her
the following.

- Friday night = party night, and last night we actually had something to celebrate: Puyol has
agreed to a contract renewal,
finally! Formalities and official signings and whatnot will
take place in the coming days, but the important thing is they've made the deal, El Capitan is
onboard till 2013 and, hopefully, he'll be here till he retires.

less chance of it cutting out on us in times of high traffic, not that this blog will be appealing
