If my imagination could expand just a little bit more, then this video is everything I would
expect from a Brazilian freestyle futebol video. Beautiful Brazilian scenery and skills filled with
high swank to spare. There are incomprehensible skills that simply give off an abstract aura of
athleticism.

Watch the ball when it lands on his foot from high, and what happens immediately afterwards. I
think neither his teammate standing there, nor you or I, has any idea how he did that.

Last spring, Indi Armstrong Cowie performed her freestyle soccer routine for 76,000 fans during
halftime at a Chelsea-Manchester United match. This 16-year-old Scot moves the soccer ball like no
other girl on the planet.
Indie learned to walk chasing a soccer ball. At 10 she played on a coed team and once scored all
seven goals in a 7-6 win.
There is a quote from one of my favorite movies, Akeelah and the Bee that goes something like this,
"there are 50,000 teachers all around you."
Although this was a piece of advice given to Akeelah, a little girl who was preparing for her
moment in the spotlight at the Scripps National Spelling Bee, I believe this piece of wisdom rings
true for those of us who are working to reach our highest potential in soccer, futsal, footvolley
or freestyle.

Until one of you posts a video of yourself juggling in high heels, we have been outdone. But
maybe it's better left that way.
