Today's fashion and design news presented in order of our excitement levels.
Meh: The French prostitute at the centre of the French NT scandal involving
Franck Ribery and Karim Benzema debuted her own line of lingerie at Paris Couture Fashion Week
today.
Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Internazionale Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester United,
Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal. So many great clubs in the heart of Europe but not one has yet
made a major transfer purchase in this January transfer window. To some degree or another, it could
be argued, that each and every one of those aforementioned clubs need at least one single player,
if not more in a few different positions.
Now we've all established the fact that Bavarian giants Bayern Munich
absolutely love their basketball games..."natürlich!!" So they turned up at full
force to watch last weekend's showdown between Bayern Munich and EWE Baskets Oldenburg at the Audi
Dome with their families.
The practice of veteran stars seeing out their careers in lesser leagues isn't exactly new, nor
is it rare. The Middle East has been using oil-soaked checks to lure eager foreigners for years.
And yet, this weekend might just take the cake for odd locations and trail-blazing new football
landscapes.
Bayern Munich arrived in New Delhi, India on Monday to play a friendly against the Indian national
team for charity and Franck Ribery appears to be racing to his hotel room with perhaps that slight
overwhelmed feeling of the subcontinent's sweltering heat we've only heard about. In my best

Uh oh, Franck Ribery doesn't look too impressed up there! Let's all pretend
that it's a major case of jet lag and Franck's failure to pick up the
David Luiz Book Of Hospitality. To be fair, it must be dreadful stuck in a
training camp where you're forced to sing Birthday songs to the President, train in the sweltering
heat and not get to fist pump on the streets or wherever you'd like!
Bayern Munich have arrived in Doha, Qatar for a training camp,
and all Arjen Robben and Thomas Mueller really wanted to do was
to play on their iPads. Or rather, just Robben's. It's painfully obvious that they are on
Instagram, editing some glamour shots of themselves.

In which, during Bayern Munich's mid-season friendly against Al-Wakrah in Qatar last Saturday,
Franck Ribery struggles to shrug off a bit of (very) close attention from Nayef al-Khater and ends
up giving the defender a piggyback down the touchline much to the delight of Al-Wakrah coach Adnan
Dirjal, who gave the pair a standing ovation.

The best part about holiday shopping is the amount of discounts you can find. It is very
important to go around the market before buying something because you never know, you might find it
for cheaper elsewhere.
Keeping that in mind, I looked around for quality presents with good discounts and picked, what
I thought, were really good bargains.
Wow. Just. WOWIE. Or indeed, as our favourite fur-smurf once said... wowzers.
Last night was either a thrilling or agonising night of footy, depending on whether you favour
French or English football.
Before we rehash last night's drama using our trademarked system of pictures and snark, let us
hit you with this: which match do our Kickettes think produced the most incredible or shocking
result over these past two days?
Tomorrow's encounter at the Etihad stadium will prove to be one of Manchester City's most important
in its recent history, needing a win against an already-through Bayern Munich side as winners of
Group A. Eyes in Manchester will also been on the Villarreal-Napoli tie where a Napoli win would
eliminate the Citizens from the competition.

Tim Howard (GK) -
Lindemans Framboise: Sweet and sour temperament, but
effervescent as usual. Made some crucial saves that kept the match level for 70
minutes.
Timmy Chandler (LB) -
Weihenstephaner Hefe: Typically a
refreshing bit of German goodness, but on this occasion a little too light when something stronger
was called for.
After each match the contributors to New England Soccer Today will rate the performances of
the United States National Team players who made an appearance on a 1 to 10 scale (1 horrendous, 5
average, 10 perfection). This week Sean Donahue and Julian Cardillo contributed ratings for the
USA's 1-0 loss to France.
PARIS, France – The United States Men's National Soccer Team's struggles to generate offense
continued on Friday as they fell 1-0 at Stade de France and are now 1-4-1 under head coach Jurgen
Klinsmann.
The Americans kept the French quiet during the first half, but the home side came out with
renewed life in the second period, keeping the visitors pegged back for much of the final 45
minutes and eventually finding the back of the net.
Another friendly. Another 1-0 loss.
The U.S. men's national team was unable to score for the fourth time in six games under new head
coach Jurgen Klinsmann, and as a result fell, 1-0, to France at Stade de France on Friday.
Loic Remy scored the game's only goal minutes after entering in the second half, but the result
could have been worse for the Americans if not for several quality saves from Tim Howard.
France national team head coach Laurent Blanc has released his roster for the upcoming friendly
against the U.S. men's national team, and as expected, the team is stacked.
Karim Benzema, Samir Nasri and Hugo Lloris headline a 22-man roster that will face the United
States and Belgium on November 11 and 15, respectively.
Take a look for yourselves, courtesy of the mugshots on FFF.fr. And that's without Gourcuff.

The Bundesliga seems to be considered the neutral's favorite league, as it's not the highest
quality league, but it has enough skill, energy, pace, enthusiasm and complete disregard for
defensive responsibilities (Werder says hi) to enthrall the masses. However, this year it's turning
into more of a prison ward with people throwing feces and now sex in public.
Right, we know Gossip Wednesday takes place tomorrow but this was just too difficult to pass up!
Every football club needs to do Oktoberfest, like Bayern Munich (bitte! /
pleeease). Forget all those gala nights and red carpets (here's looking at you, Man
United) just arrive in your finest Bavarian suits and dresses- like Thomas
Mueller and his wife, Lisa, above - and you're all bloody well good to
go!
Michael Steele/Getty Images(Bleacher Report) Chelsea head into the final day of the transfer window
with the intent of splashing some major cash. Their chase for several top internationals from
around continental Europe is heading down to the wire, and with so little time left, there is no
telling what will happen next.
Clive Brunskill/Getty Images (Bleacher Report) Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery has become one of
Chelsea's most recent surprise targets after Caughtoffside.com have broken speculation that the
Frenchman is the subject of a £35 million bid.
The Frenchman could be brought in to start taking the place of Florent Malouda who is getting up in
years at 31.

Not since Franck Ribery started his underage prostitute charity program has one footballer seen
his value drop so precipitously in such a short frame of time. From a staunch tag of somewhere in
the £40m in the summer to, well, that poster on the left.
Home to all the greats, also known as the second division in Northern Ireland.
It will be raining stars at the Allianz Arena this evening as the visiting Manchester City have
unleashed a strong starting XI against the powerful Bundesliga leaders, FC Bayern Munchen.
The back line of the Bavarian side includes former City defender Jerome Boateng while the front
line of the Premier League's joint leaders includes Edin Dzeko, who rose to prominence with his
sublime performances as a Wolfsburg player.
Franck Ribery loves life without Louis. And it starts to show on the pitch. One
of the best games of the French winger in a while. Robbery sounds great on paper. In reality it was
usually about Arjen Robben cutting inside and scoring decisive goals, while Ribery was doubled,
frustrated and ineffective.

An eleven goal margin of victory deserves a special celebration. And Robin van Persie and Klaas-Jan
Huntelaar certainly pulled out all the stops for their interpretation of Torvill & Dean's 'Bolero'.

Are you worried because you missed all of the important events from the weekend's Euro 2012
qualifying games and random internationals, people?
Here we go again.
31 January was a red letter day in the history of the not-so-historic transfer window. Now, some
seven months removed from a day which saw Chelsea secure Fernando Torres and David Luiz for a
combined fee in the region of £75 million and Liverpool plop down a cool £35m on Andy Carroll,
the footballing world is once again on the cusp of meltdown.
It's one of the busiest days of the year when it comes to football, it's transfer deadline day
until January next year. It's the final day that clubs can do business before they have to settle
for what they have at 2300GMT tonight.
We all saw how it affected us last season as we let too many players go, had the injuries to key
players around the same time and as a result suffered badly.
We all know that Chelsea have tried on what seems to be three confirmed occasions to tempt Spurs
into selling Luka Modric to us. Modric himself has even tried to leave Spurs but that hasn't helped
either. We have all had our say and our opinions but it seems that AVB has admitted defeat finally
and has turned his attention on other targets.
As we enter the home-stretch of a remarkably active summer, we break down the latest stories
being banded about. More after the jump:
Scarface to The Bridge?
First, let me just say that it's wonderful to be back stateside after a week in The Kingdom (not
of Saud, mind you).
