Liverpool to Make Shock £12m January Raid for Cole: Intelligent Bit of Business
Liverpool Could Sign £13m Playmaker Rafael Van der Vaart
I had expressed my wish list previously during the August 31 transfer deadline and Liverpool are

Perth have a good team that don't play that well. Fury went 1 down again. But a great quickly taken
free kick from Fowler just outside the box and a spectacular turn and shoot from Daal won the game.
They deserved too. Not because they play great football but because Perth's game was really
lacking.
It was the Fury's first win at home.

SO Perth Glory are about a day away from taking on Fowler's Fury. With the jam-packed nature of the
league, it's a game they really need to win - just to keep them up there.
FP knows it's very premature, but just to prove a point this is what the first week of the finals
would look like if the regular season had already ended.

John Aloisi missed a penalty. Fowler scored a fantastic lobbed goal.
NQ are going to cause teams real troubles later in the year when it gets hot up north.
Only 16,000 to a much hyped game that expected 20,000.
Come on FFA let's see better analysis and planning for all games, particularly block busters.

Fowler scored a great goal early. Brisbane's defence, for all its stars, looks slow and
brittle.
NQ down to 10 from 1st half.
Henrique pushes the envelope but also attracts real violence.
Lots of wild dead end balls from Brisbane in the second half.
Reinaldo, Van Dijk combination starting to look good.

Well Foxtel didn't happen last night. According to their local office the service was out for
Brisbane. So much for Robby Fowler scoring a great goal from his own build up play. And a fabulous
3-3 draw between Adelaide and the Fury. So much for Perth's new players firing and winning 2-1 over
Melbourne.

The strength of our squad has been a major talking point over the summer and the opening days of
the season have certainly suggested youth will play an important part this year. I think back to

Correct answer: A, first for three months then reduced after an appeal. No joke.

Maravillas de la ciencia mediante, en plena semana estoy viendo la repetición del
United-Birmingham del pasado fin de semana. No es cualquier cosa: es el primer partido de la era

que han pasado por la Premier en los últimos años.

Fox Sports have covered the Gold Coast boycott. Really this can not be allowed to stand. The
financially strongest team in the A-League is threatening the viability of one of the less strong
clubs. This is not good for the sport. How will the FFA respond?
"I won't be going to the game for sure, I don't think it's worth it," said Palmer.

it abruptly closed.
The Royal Hotel on the corner of the High Street and Royal Terrace has been taken over by a mother

Hotel and pub on Eastern Esplanade, but leapt at the opportunity to acquire the lease on the Royal.

Kenny Dalglish's acceptance of returning to the club as a caretaker of the Academy and as an

throughout the years of when this legend would be coming back home.
His return marks yet again another of the continuity of the Rafalution.

Liverpool fans have suffered from nineteen years of heartbreak without winning the league and
this season the reds fans believe this drought will come to an end.
They've seen their fierce rivals Man Utd creep up and equal their record of being the
champions of England and they will do anything they can to stop them overtaking them and that means
securing the league this upcoming season.

TPS won MYPA 3-1 and Lahti took a 2-1 win over Tampere United. The latter meant that my
prediction accuracy fell from 100% to 50% compared to Wednesday's round of games, and I'm too
disillusioned to round the games up in any more depth now. I will round them up later, however,
once the whole round is over.

First we had God at LFC, now it looks like we might have Jesus also (not to imply he's the son of
Fowler). According to Sky Sports, Liverpool have beaten Real Madrid & Barcelona to the signing of
another highly talented kid.
The 16 year old attacking midfielder, is meant to be in the mould of Cesc Fabregas.

Growing up in the early 1980's watching such names as Barnes, Beardsley, Aldridge, Rush and
Dalglish fly across the screen, I found it quite difficult to comprehend another player coming
through the club having the same type of impact as some of those names.
Then came a lad by the name of Fowler who sent Anfield into raptures on an almost continual
basis.

I like to toss out phrases like "best striker in the world" when discussing Torres, and with good
reason. 33 goals in his first season in English football, deceptively strong while still lightning
quick, and he can score goals of any variety. He's faster to 50 than Rush, Fowler, Owen, and
Aldridge.
He's tallied 50 goals in 84 appearances in his first two seasons – an average of .

JJK v HJK, Sunday 6:30pm
This is a tough one to predict. As ever, it all depends on Muurinen's team selection, and the
choice between the quick and mobile strikers or the less mobile Mäkelä. He played Mäkelä in the
last game, and they got a disappointing draw against Honka, so maybe he will go with a
Popovitch-Parikka combination for the JJK game.

HJK v IFK Mariehamn, Wednesday 6:30pm
This is, somewhat surprisingly, a top of the table clash. IFK have already beaten last season's
champions, drawn with one of the favourites for this season, and had a regulation win over wooden
spoon-chasers KuPS. This puts them level on points with HJK, who dropped their two points at home
to draw specialists TPS.

First, an apology for my absence over the past few days - I've spent most of them drowsy and out

But on to cheerier things, and a quick recap of the past few days.

A couple of years ago, the Reds starlet had many of us dreaming we'd found the next home grown
talent capable of breaking through to the first team. Playing alongside his hero (Fowler), he
scored on his Liverpool debut at just 17 years of age.
Last season he had 2 loan spells and scored a stunning volley on his debut for Notts County, sadly
both loan spells were cut short because the clubs couldn't afford his wages.
