This just in: The U.S. WNT spends lots of time in airports. Here the squad waits for its flight
to Canada.Easy travel day for the U.S. WNT today. Relatively short flight from LA (not sure how long, but
it's whatever is the length of

Brad Pitt is underrated as an actor), into the same time zone and they players had time to get a
weight workout in the morning and get into Vancouver in time for dinner in the evening.
Carlos Tevez's move to Italy seems to be gaining momentum with every new day. Just last week
Tevez's agent Kia Joorabchian met with Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani for a dinner which
many believe was a disguise to discuss the fate of the Argentine striker.
This is the second meeting between both players after their first meeting at Milan headquarters
more than a week ago.

Italy, oh Italy! The world's eyes are fixated on their fallen president and wacky owner of AC
Milan today... Botox Berlusconi! Well, everyone except the Azzurri of

Florence yesterday.
The first game of the weekend is nearly upon in Florence where Fiorentina will take on a resurgent
Catania side. After a slow start to their season southerners Catania have achieved noticeable
results especially the brilliant 2-1 home victory over Inter Milan last Saturday. Obviously
manager Vincenzo Montella will be looking to have his squad continue their run by shooting for
another victory in.
Life's tough enough for the unemployed in an unstable global economy. And life is certainly
tough enough for those who have to referee football games.
But it's infinitely worse when unemployed and forced to live with the same name as a referee
recently rendered exceedingly unpopular by some decisions in a rather large game the previous
weekend.
Massimo Paolone / Iguana Press/Getty Images (Bleacher Report) Liverpool have reportedly been
inquiring about the availability of Juan Manuel Vargas from Fiorentina. The Reds have had previous

Along with Cesare Prandelli and Gigi Buffon, Mario Balotelli paid a visit to Sollicciano prison
in Florence yesterday and was immediately greeted as some kind of demi-god, being mobbed by the
inmates as soon as he entered the hall...
I was fearing for his diamond earring at one point there.
I'm just going to put this bit of ignorance out there to start the day: every town in Italy looks
exactly the same. Or at least my never-been-to-Italy ass thinks so. Seriously, this looks like an
interview sequence from the current, Florence-filmed season of Jersey Shore; I half-expected to see
a cut of Sammi drunk & crying and a coked-out Situation making "that face" as he looks out over the
top of his sunglasses before the whole thing was over.

Rui Costa and the goalscoring prowess of the prolific Gabriel Batistuta. Others have been attracted
to the romance of following a club from Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in the world,
while fashion gurus have simply appreciated the distinctive purple of the team's shirts, which
inspired the club's Viola nickname.
