I was surprised when i learnt that Milan had signed Ghanaian Sulley Muntari on loan from cross
town rivals Inter considering his form the past couple of seasons. Muntari who is on international
duty with Ghana in the African Cup of Nations, will be with the Rossoneri until the end of the
season when his current contract with Inter is set to expire.
After 224 seconds into his Arsenal debut, Samir Nasri had already opened his Arsenal account with a
simple tap in from a pass from Denilson. One of the best talents ever to be discovered by Arsene
Wenger from France, Nasri was playing the football of his life. In his first season, he won over
the [..
Camaraderie, one of the most important aspect of a team sport
One more day of rest before the Arsenal game tomorrow. Can't be living in our own world only,
there's also the big top of the table clash which will be played at the same time as our game. Even
Arsene Wenger was coaxed into saying something about that game.
A recent blog on the AA website called 'Project Youth-fact or
fiction?' (great write Illybongani) got me thinking about the direction that Arsenal has been
heading in the last 6 trophyless years and also the grief that Arsène Wenger has had to endure.
Fans seem to be divided into 2 opinions.
Take a poll of pundits and fans and you will be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't think
Barcelona will win La Liga, Manchester United will win the Premier League, and AC Milan will win
Serie A. And who are we to disagree?
The fact is predicting that Milan will repeat their scudetto win is not much of a stretch and it
certainly doesn't take much bravery on our part to do so.
After yesterday's debacle, it is time to take a step back and see where we are, how did we get
he and what the future holds. There is no point in analysing yesterday's match, it is certified XXX
in the minds of all Arsenal fans.
We all knew it was not going to be an easy match but the roots of the result go back, probably
two or three seasons ago.

Not many players leave Arsène Wenger's Arsenal and thrive.
Look at Alex Hleb.
The ‘new George Best' sold his soul for a Mr Whippy with extra sprinkles and quickly went from
Barcelona to the heady heights of Birmingham FC.
Now, still owned by Barca but not wanted by anyone, he floats in the footballing ether,
dribbling in mazy circles to nowhere and declining clear shooting opportunities to his heart's
content.
Following the latest development in the Cesc Fabregas transfer saga, which suggests that Arsenal
are finally ready to negotiate the sale of their skipper to Barcelona, speculation is rife about
the identity of a big-name replacement being targetted by manager Arsene Wenger.
In the past, Wenger has been known to prefer developing young players rather than buying
immediate replacements for former stars such as Thierry Henry and Mathieu Flamini.
Arsene Wenger made a massive mistake a few years ago when he allowed Mathieu Flamini to run down
his contract by delaying any talks of an extension until it was too late, thus allowing the
midfielder to gain a massive payday by joining AC Milan on a Bosman transfer. Arsenal currently
have two players approaching [.

For the first time since 2004, the Scudetto is a rossoneri trophy. And let me say as an Inter
Milan supporter it is fully deserved.
As I told you many times here on AFR, to win Serie A you do not always have to be at your best
in the biggest matches, but simply whenever it becomes vital to perform.
Ac Milan lead at the top of Serie A are under a big thread as their current five points lead cut
be cut into just two by their rival, Inter Milan, this Sunday after the Rossoneri slipped again
this weekend.
Playing against a struggling side, Palermo, Milan looked to lose a bit of their spirit as the
Red and Black squad played without their talismanic striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who was suspended
after making a clumsy action towards a Bari player last weekend.

We're slaves to a good suit parade, Kickettes, and today's clash of the stylish vs. style-less
is courtesy of AC Milan's 25th anniversary celebration of Silvio Berlusconi's regime.
As you can see, Pato can barely contain his delight (that, or he's just feeling mucho awkward
standing next to a life size poster board of his potential flame's father).
Today's news roundup features one thing in common: the future is hazy for nearly everyone.
A Tale of Two Fratelli
Daniele De Rossi and Alberto Aquilani were once the crown jewels of Roma's youth academy, two
midfielders who complimented each other perfectly. Now, both face uncertain futures.
Milos Krasic and Edinson Cavani were surely two nominees for players of the season by December.
And somehow, by March, a mere three months later, both seem vague shadows of the empirical figures
they once were. Fatigue and form may be an issue for the two attacking players, but unless Napoli
and Juventus figure out how to restore verve to these men sorely lacking it at the present, they
risk losing it all this season.
FOOTIEBALL!
Going well so far!
They should all be sent off!
YEEEEEEAAAAH!.

Just some of the texts I received on Tuesday evening from my resident web-brain. Regular viewers
will know him as The Overlord- he's the chap who floats in under the radar from time to time;
polishing up the banners, unclogging the spam-filters; generally doing a bang-to-rights job of
solving all of your technical conundrums.
Tottenham's fabulous 1-0 win over AC Milan at the San Siro may have been marred by the Gattuso
incident but former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini should have been shown a
straight red card after what most people would call common assault his two footed lunge has all but
ended Tottenham defender Vedran Corluka's season and referee Stephane Lannoy only seen the
challenge as a yellow card offence when anyone who viewed the incident can see that it was a red
card offence time for referee's to be more consistent anywhere else this would have been a red
card.
Some good news on the injury front has filtered through with reports that Vedran Corluka has not
broken his ankle following the horror tackle by Mathieu Flamini on Tuesday night.
The player himself is quoted as saying: "My ankle is swollen. It hurts so much, but the doctors
are saying that things are not as bad as it seems.
Gennaro Gattuso's pathetic display of petulance helped an Italian team revert to stereotype last
night and it's debatable whether his absence in the second leg will be a bigger blow to Milan or
Spurs.
Amidst Gattuso's childish performance we saw imaginary cards being waved and a horrendous
two-footed tackle from ex-goon Flamini that could have easily inflicted far more damage than it
did.

Whilst UEFA have vowed to probe Milan scrappers Gennaro Gattuso's ill-advised touchline spat (a
five-match ban is being tentatively mooted) with Tottenham assistant Joe Jordan in the San Siro
last night, it seems that Mathieu Flamini will escape any further punishment for his two-footed,
battering ram of a tackle on Spurs defender Vedran Corluka after the Frenchman received a yellow
card for his troubles during the game.
AC Milan and former Arsenal midfielder, Mathieu Flamini, looks like he's learned a little too much
from playing with Gattuso.
AC Milan's Gennaro Gattuso grabbed the throat of Tottenham assistant manager Joe Jordan and
headbutted the Scotsman during Tuesday night's Champions League match at the San Siro.
Gattuso became incensed during the match after Tottenham players and staff complained about an
over-the-top tackle by former Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini on Vedran Corluka.
Tottenham pulled off a magnificent win in the San Siro on Tuesday night with a Peter Crouch goal
ten minutes from time giving Spurs victory in the away leg.
The Milan boss was definitely wary of the threat posed by Redkanpp's side, but to take the
spoils in Milan was better than expected for the North London side.
Peter Crouch might have scored the goal but the architect was Aaron Lennon bursting forth
leaving Mario Yepes sprawling in his wake.
Spurs shrugged off the loss of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale as they went on the offensive through
Rafael Van der Vaart with Sandro and Wilson Palacios bolstering the midfield.
Sometimes the results of the teams around us go for us, sometimes they go against us and
sometimes we just win our game playing fabulous football and I end up feeling that it doesn't
matter what everyone else does because watching us win is the most important part.
Yesterday we needed Man City to take points off of the other Manchester team which didn't happen
so we're still 4 points behind them in second place and although it doesn't matter a jot what
happens to spuds, its always a better weekend when they lose, that didn't happen either.

It was back in August 2007, I remember arriving at my new seat in the North Bank Upper for the
opening game of the season, to a fantastic view of the resplendent Emirates pitch.
Our opponents that day were Fulham, ‘easy game' we thought, except David Healy and Jens
Lehman had other ideas.
MILAN, Italy AC Milan held onto top spot in Serie A after a disappointing 0-0 stalemate with Lazio
at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Despite having the vast share of possession and a catalogue of
chances Massimiliano Allegri's men could not break down a stubborn Roman wall of defiance. A bright
spark was AC Milan's [.
