TweetManchester City ambassador Patrick Vieira is in the firing line after suggesting that
Manchester United get special treatment from referees sparking angry responses. United defender Rio
Ferdinand was amongst the most vocal challengers to Vieira's comments, which, incidentally, the
former Arsenal and Inter Milan midfielder believes has been taken out of context.
The reason I am asking you is because of the interview that Tony Cascarino has given Sky Sports
this morning. Of course Cascarino is first up to have a pop at his old side even though I
personally cannot understand how he is a pundit on there bearing in mind he isn't exactly a
decorated successful player in his own right.
The ‘Squeaky Bum Time' saying has not been uttered as many times as it has been in previous
seasons; indeed, Manchester United have led the chasing pack for a prolonged period. And, even in
the so-called business end of the campaign, United have looked a team with an air of confidence and
a side destined for success – but that deserted them here at the Emirates, looking alien to the
side that powered past Schalke in midweek.
Why Evertonians unhappy with their owner need only look at Blackburn
David Moyes walked out of Ewood Park at half-time on Tuesday in disgust at the abuse being
hurled at Steve Kean. I wonder if, as he drove home, he pondered what might have been with him.
Much of the hate pouring from all parts of Ewood Park is aimed over Kean's head at the owners.

Yesterday in Plymouth, it nearly all kicked off, or rather it nearly didn't. Lead administrator
Brendan Guilfoyle "all-but-vanished" and somebody paid for acting chairman Peter Ridsdale to jet to
the South of France, while staff at Home Park remained resolutely unpaid. Worse still... somebody
paid for Ridsdale to jet back.
And now the second half of the squad up before the firing line:
Last year: 7
This year: 6
A frustrating season for Palacios, whose form continued to plummet as it had started to at the back
end of last season. Opportunities were limited for the tough tackling Honduran and when he was
presented with a chance to start, he invariably fluffed his lines and conceded possession far too
With only days to go before voting on a new president the crisis at FIFA has gone into overdrive.
Sepp Blatter himself is now in the firing line with the news that the ethics committee is to

up by FIFA, an institution run by Blatter.
