You may remember, not so very long ago, when the KNVB Cup match between Ajax and Alkmaar had to
be abandoned after just 38 minutes when Alkmaar 'keeper Esteban Alvarado was red-carded (it was
later rescinded) for knocking a drunken pitch-invader on his arse and then belting the living
daylights out of the 19-year old hoodlum as he sprawled on the turf.
Roberto Martinez picked a ball up from by his feet, rolled it across a tray of thick brown paint
and tossed it across the field to Victor Moses. Moses stopped its flight with his chest and let it
fall to his feet. He moved forwards with the ball, lifted his head and sent the ball arcing across
the field at knee height.

The Los Angeles Galaxy had arguably their worst performance of the year on Wednesday, then
proceeded to follow it up with unquestionably their best.
With three goals started by David Beckham set pieces, the Galaxy defeated FC Dallas 3-1, to
extend their lead a top the MLS standings.
I'm only with Bill partially on this one. The reality is that Don Garber *was* out in front of
it back when the points of emphasis were discussed in early March. He didn't just talk about the
stars, he talked about promoting "attacking soccer" as well. Part of the reason we're even talking
about guys getting cut down in the way we are is because MLS specifically made an issue of it at
the start of the season.
In the end, a draw was probably the deserved result. But our boys registered a trademark goal
covered with the fingerprints of no less than Lahm, Müller, Özil, and Klose himself. Watch the
