I am fond of February. It is the first month of the off-season when you can finally say 'TFC game next month". That, and the signs that days are getting just a little longer, are important to me.
Now since I blogged that TFC was using the pre-season stage to shed some players, they turned around and signed two defenders.

The Baltimore Blast announced on December 16 that forward Matt Watson would be released from his contract effective January 1 so that he could join Major League Soccer club Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Watson, a member of the Blast for the past five-plus seasons, played his final game at the First Mariner Arena that December evening and remained with the club through their New Year's Eve victory against the Milwaukee Wave.

The Union will finish the season hosting New York on Saturday, Oct. 27.

In the Eastern conference, the Union will play New York, DC, New England and Columbus at home twice and once on the road.
