Galaxy's Gonzalez Wins MLS Rookie of the Year & More

Galaxy central defender Omar Gonzalez, the club's top draft pick out of Maryland didn't miss a game for the Galaxy this year and was literally head and shoulders above other candidates.

From the Galaxy press release:

The 21-year old defender from Dallas, Texas, becomes the second consecutive Galaxy defender to win the award.

Remember a few years ago how everyone --myself included-- was all OMFG when "How Soccer Explains The World Came Out"? I was all tits-over-tail about and then my man Tom Fina, The Angriest Man in Metroland™, hit me with the heat one night that "Frank Foer is just Kuper light".

Second of all this week's rankings come with very little change at the top six or seven. Most of the clubs stayed right where they were at after week 29.

Ao ver as imagens da chegada a Lisboa da equipa do Sporting , após eliminarem o Twente, notei como é ténue a separação entre o sucesso e o insucesso e a correspondente fina linha que separa o carinho do insulto.
