Feeling a bit misty for South Africa? Maybe hear Landon Donovan's goal call one more time from Ian
Darke? "One Goal USA" just released the official trailer for their 2010 World Cup film,
"LADUMA".
"Millions of people worldwide watched the 2010 FIFA World Cup on television, as Spain
won the first ever soccer World Cup to be played on the African continent.

Let's be clear, people. We might be world renowned slouches, but if you're going to throw
random videos of Dutch footballers doing weird things while wearing lycra at us, we're going to
make it our business to find out why.
Here's what we came up with: the Stars of Football campaign for which this (and numerous other
amusing films featuring NT players) was made for, has something to with a Dutch supermarket chain
called C1000.
Top 10 footballers in films: Cole, Cantona, Collymore, Beckham and more
Michael Caine couldn't play football, so perhaps this lot should stay away from acting

Less than week to go now until the Scottish Football Blog's 24 hour "blogathon."
A good time then to feature this video from Donkey Stone Films featuring some of the sights and
sounds of the Homeless World Cup in Paris.

It is all too easy to get snobby and sneer at footballers about their (usual) lack of a
high-level education. And too often that sneeriness is borne out of nothing but jealousy at the
fact they get paid shed-loads of money for simply playing football. Still, in the case of poor old
Darren Mackie of Aberdeen, it's hard not to giggle.
I'm sure someone will find a way to twist the following statement to make me look like a prick or
self-hating negro but here it is anyway: I'm tired of seeing soccer movies about poor, brown
people.
Documentary makers, you know we're not a monolith right? There are well-to-do brown folks that play
soccer as well.
Mario reminds me a bit of Eric Cantona. Flamboyant, troubled and outrageously talented...oh and
they both love playing up to the cameras Obviously Mario isn't going to stop appearing in all kinds
of adverts, and you know what I'm glad. Hell if he doesn't take up an acting career after football
I will be deeply [.
A group of students at DePaul University created a film chronicling Section 8, the Chicago Fire
supporters group. It's a great film and hopefully we'll start to see more films like this about the
growing soccer supporters culture in the United States.
Living in the Red is a video about the Chicago Fire Soccer Fan club, Section 8, produced by
Marlin Kolev, Ethan Faure and Heather Eidson for Documentary Production 471 at DePaul University,
2011.
Can a man's work be separated from his personal life? Movie-watchers must ask themselves if it is
possible to enjoy the works of Roman Polanski knowing of the sexual allegations directed towards
the director, or if Mel Gibson's bigotry should lead them to boycott his films. Cesena fans find
themselves faced with a similar dilemma this season, as the club brings in Adrian Mutu to help an
anemic.
After spotting him in the pressbox, I was curious about what LA Times writer Bill Plaschke would
write about - given that he hasn't shown much interest or knowledge about soccer in the past.
Here's his take.
Kevin Baxter wrote on the match itself, but his piece didn't contain his joke about Chuck Blazer's
resemblance to Fat Bastard from the Austin Powers films.

Here is the latest in the in a series of films by Nike Digital following the U.S. WNT to the World
Cup. This one features the U.S. team doing the treadmill test. The goal: run for as long as you
can.
They say only the strong survive. But what they mean is only the fit survive. In the modern game,
endurance fuels match defining moments.
The talented folks with Nike Digital started shooting the U.S. team back in September during its
training camp in Atlanta, Ga. Here is the first of many films as Nike follows the U.S. team to the
Women's World Cup in Germany.
You may remember Sian Massey from such films as Andy Gray Loves The Ladies (But Not As
Referees) and Richard Keys Dust Up His Resume, but now she has a new starring role as
the shoulder bag for Cardiff City's Kevin McNaughton's ambling ways.
What would typically be an 'oh he got sent flying into the linesman' is a bit more.
Renault has teamed up with Thierry Henry again. The New York Red Bulls player first endorsed the
car manufacturer back in 2001 where he starred alongside his now ex-wife. The new advert features
Dita Von Tease along with clips from famous films and oddly Rihanna. The ad asks us, "What is Va Va
Voom?" Perhaps, this ad?
After Arsenal's loss in the Carling Cup final, I decided to open the second canister in that
mysterious stack of dusty old D.W. Griffith films that were apparently never released in the 1910s
and '20s. I don't know what this means, but I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to feel safe
keeping these in the basement.
"Let me tell you that Nani isn't very good on the piano. He's hopeless!" said Anderson. "I
didn't know about Berba's drawing... My talents? I'm good at video games. Does that count? It's
important to relax, so I spend a lot of time on my PlayStation. I play mainly football games, but I
like shooting ones, too.
The Boy King of New York & Jersey™ may not be getting as much playing time for his club as
most of us would like to see but that's not going to stop 723 Films from dropping a mixtape of his
USMNT exploits. And that's a good thing really because I think some folks out there have forgotten
just how hot the kid is; don't let all the Spanish pine-riding fool you, dude is still probably the
most legit American striker since Waldo.
