Ducky's Note: Rathna Prashanth looks at a novel way to solve Torres'
striking problem. By getting rid of Drogba!
Legend, proven goal scorer, leader on the pitch- these are some of the terms that describe the
powerful Ivorian Drogba, aka the Top Dog of the Bridge. At 150 goals and still counting, not only
has he been an amazing goalscorer for Chelsea, he has also been a tremendous athlete.
Very interesting news emerging from Paris. PSG Coach Carlo Ancelotti is claiming that he has
been offered Chelsea striker Fernando Torres. Of course Chelsea have maintained that Torres is not
for sale so there is a very high likelihood that the deal won't go through.
That said, with notable Chelsea strikers Drogba and Kalou having linked up with their national
side for the African Cup of Nations, Torres has been gifted the perfect opportunity to prove
himself.
Fascinating comments in the Mirror from former Chelsea boss, and new Paris Saint-Germain boss
Carlo Ancelotti about Fernando Torres.
PSG is owned by the Qatar Investment Authority and have money to spend. They are in the market
for a center forward and Ancelotti says that he has been offered many of Europe's top strikers
including Torres:
"I have received hundreds of phone calls from agents offering me players ever since I signed
with PSG.

The impending arrival of Carlos Tevez could well end any hopes Filippo Inzaghi had of
winning back his place in the AC Milan Champions League squad let alone the first team. Unless
Super Pippo can prove people wrong one more time, the 38-year-old poacher will have to seek a new
home before the transfer window closes.
AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi could be on his way out of the San Siro according to Milan Vice
President Adriano Galliani. The 38 year old veteran striker has failed to make an impact in
Allegri's squad this season and with the impending arrival of Carlos Tevez next month, Inzaghi's
chances of playing look dimmer and dimmer.
Mock the Weekend: Arsenal striker Robin van Persie is human after all
The Dutchman was surprisingly unable to add to his goal haul on Saturday, unlike Chicharito, who
is the new Filippo Inzaghi, while Steve Bruce had his name sung all afternoon

It was October 20, 2004, when Milan welcomed FC Barcelona to the San Siro on match-day three of the
Champions League. Much like today, both teams were clearly the best two in their group. Much like
today Barcelona sat in first position, Milan were in second. And much like will be today, the team
that [.
Few would have thought before the season started that come round 6 Milan would enter the match
against Palermo in 15th place on the table while the Sicilians – Javier Pastore-less – would be
sitting pretty in fourth. But, so it is after the club's worst start to the Serie A since 1997. Max
Allegri [.
They are two of the games great executioners. Their preferred methods of delivering the coup de
grace could hardly be more different, but they share the same efficient outcome. Back in 1998 it
was Fabio Capello's Milan who were on the receiving end of a cold-blooded calcio killing. If you
want a masterclass in the respective abilities of Alessandro Del Piero and Filippo Inzaghi you
need.

It has not been a good season for Pippo Inzaghi. The legendary striker has seen little playing time
in the Serie A while in the Champions League he has not played at all after being excluded from the
squad altogether. He may be 38 years old, but, Pippo still retains that uncanny knack he has [...]
On Sunday Juventus host Milan in the first big competitive match at their shiny new stadium. In
lieu of writing a traditional preview, I've decided to take a look at some points to watch out for
during the course of the match. 1) Which lineup will Antonio Conte deploy? During the first three
games, Conte used his favored attacking 4-4-2 against teams that played similar formations in
Parma,.
Are all of AC Milan's WAGs as unattainably beautiful as these two? Spotted in the stands at AC
Milan's game against Udinese was Filippo Inzaghi's prettier half (at left) as well as Alberto
Aquilani's wife and daughter, Aurora (right). Image Credit: Getty Images Europe.

The day most Milanisti were dreading is almost upon us. After months of stalling, Adriano Galliani
has finally set Tuesday, to be the day that shall determine the future of those whose contracts are
set to finish at the end of June, such as Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and club captain Massimo
Ambrosini.
Once again I'm proud to be among the contributors to the latest edition of Calcio Italia.
There's been some great feedback so far and I can see why because there are pieces by
Giancarlo Rinaldi and Adam Digby - two of the finest writers about Italian football as well as a
feature on Giuseppe Rossi by Spanish football expert Sid Lowe.
As the footballing sphere bids farewell to one of it's greatest ever patrons, legendary
Brazilian forward Ronaldo, we good folk at Soccerlens thought it high
time to compile a concise list of our top five 'strikers in world football' with the only
stipulation being that any nominee must have played 'up top' and have had been in their
prime at some point during the last two decades.
AC Milan aren't without their injury problems for tonight and coach Massimiliano Allegri has
named a 19-man squad for the tie.
Allegri is without Gianluca Zambrotta, Massimo Ambrosini, Andrea Pirlo and Filippo Inzaghi,
while former Spur Kevin Prince-Boateng will also miss out.
The Milan chief has stated that he respects Spurs and is wary of the threat that they pose:
"Aaron Lennon is a very quick and intelligent player, Peter Crouch is a good player too so we will
need to be careful.
