has moved on to become a director of the Brazilian based company Traffic Sports since leaving his
position as head coach of Colorado Rapids.

Saturday night was last Miami FC game of season and Burrito saw how Miami lose against the

with a cowbell who was great! The pinches Ultras also give Burrito's compadre Zach "Beowulf" Kirby

Instead of waiting on the pink slip, Juan Carlos Osorio took it upon himself to pull a Fernando
Clavijo and resign from the New York Red Bulls. Not many details are out yet but a conference call
is set for a couple hours from now.
Ives, the New York Post and others are all reporting it.
It looks like assistant coach Richie Williams is set to be the interim coach, a move that I said
would be a smart one by the Red Bulls if they'd just pull the trigger on Osorio.

The Miami Herald is reporting that defender Facundo Erpen and midfielder Richard Perdomo are both
likely on their out from the club when the summer transfer window opens on July 15th.
The club is looking to accommodate Erpen's request for a transfer, and is shopping the player to
teams in France and Mexico, according to Fernando Clavijo, director of soccer for Traffic
Sports.

This time he's putting together college teams who have graduated and gone onto MLS.

Should have gotten to this earlier, huh?
Giuseppe Rossi is a soccer player of (seemingly) quite exceptional ability. His
two goals led Italy to a 3-1 win over the US in the first group match of the FIFA Confederations
Cup on Monday and have led to the 22-year-old from Teaneck, New Jersey being branded a "traitor" by
many US fans.

"I think people at the top have demeaned this competition"
It is rare that we get a snarky comment out of Colorado. But luckily we now have one courtesy of
one English manager, Gary Smith. One part snark, one part disgust, one part conspiracy theory.
Apparently he is none to happy his Rapids didn't get to play at Qwest Field and has wrapped himself
in the flag of the US Open Cup to defend his comments.

The Rapids have taken their official team photo for 2009, and the team will be selling it at

Fans will be able to get their hands on the team poster, which features the photo on a
thick-stock poster, starting Saturday.Â
Members of the Rapids Academy will be selling the team posters at all gates of the stadium at
all games this season at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

MLS Rumors 08 April @ 02:49 AM EST
The result in last night's US Open Cup play-in game is that Colorado moves on while the Galaxy only
have MLS to focus on this season.
This sets up a tasty game regardless of who wins the April 28th game between Real Salt Lake and
Seattle Sounders FC.
Should Real Salt Lake win on the 28th then Colorado will face it's Rocky Mountain Cup Rival in the
US Open Cup again after having defeated them 1-0 in the Fourth Round in 2006.

The
Colorado Rapids grinded this one out against one of the league's top teams and
were unlucky in the end to only get a 1-1 draw. With Chivas beating Salt Lake, the Rapids are now
third in the Western Conference with just five games to go.
Gary Smith, head
coach, now has one of the nine points he said he wanted from six games but this conference remains
so tight, especially with Dallas' surprise victory over Chicago, that it looks impossible to
predict what will happen.

From Ives' Q&A today: IVES- Here are my odds on who will be Seattle's next coach: Sigi Schmid-
2/1 Paul Mariner- 5/1 Brian Schmetzer- 10/1 Fernando Clavijo-25/1 What does Ives know to put Sigi
leaving the Crew at 2/1? Crew fans should be asking the same thing? Losing the likely Coach of the
Year to an expansion team certainly won't do much [.

The Colorado Rapids are in trouble. Actually, they have been since their opening night evisceration
of the LA Galaxy, a game which gave fans a very false sense of security. The Rapids of 2008 have
not been able to solve the problem of points on the road in MLS. Only Real Salt Lake is worse away
from their friendly confines, securing a single win and two ties in 11 tries.

Confession. I only saw the last 20 minutes or so of this game due to other commitments and a need
to change shoes. It's a long story. Suffice it to say I have very little intelligent to say about
the game. I arrived when it was already 2-0 to Real Salt Lake, saw a bit of honest running from the
likes of Omar Cummings and very little actual shots on goal.

There really is no need to brag about getting something as right as saying a coach should be fired

It's probably not the way anyone wanted his tenure to end but Fernando Clavijo's days with the
Colorado Rapids are over.
Clavijo resigned due to personal reasons as he and the Rapids reached some sort of mutual agreement
that allowed the two to part ways.
Still, Clavijo probably shouldn't have been around this long to being with.

It's finally happened. The Rapids have fired their coach, Fernando Clavijo. Surprisingly, Gary
Smith is going to take over for him on an interim basis, whatever that means. I say suprisingly,
because it seemed like the Rapids have been preening assistant coach John Murphy for the job. He's
been the face of the coaching staff for years, and the Rapids even sent him over to Europe to
become the first American to be a UEFA certified manager.

Well, it happened. Fernando Clavijo and the Colorado Rapids have parted ways with 11 games left in
the 2008 MLS season.
I didn't think it would with the Rapids front office seemingly content to wait for Clavijo's
contract to run out at the end of the year. Likewise Fernando Clavijo didn't seem interested in
leaving before his contract was up.
