At the end of the day fellow Spurs fans, it's a foregone conclusion isn't it? He is quoted this
morning by Sky Sports as saying,
"Tottenham is my team and the fans have been fantastic. It
wouldn't be right to focus on anything else other than Spurs. That's my focus." But
realistically he's never going to turn it down in the summer.
It looks like Pepe Moreno may not be playing or practicing in a Revolution uniform anytime
soon.
Five days after New England announced that it had reached a loan agreement with Colombian side
Once Caldas to bring the 30-year-old striker to Gillette Stadium, a report surfaced on Tuesday
surfaced that the deal is off.
When I haven't written on this site for a while, I very often end up using the excuse that "real
life got in the way". Well it doesn't get much more real life than the passing of a fellow Red

Danny Rose may not have achieved an awful lot in his Spurs career since his left-footed wonder
volley in the North London derby. But now he must be thanked for bringing the video above to our
attention. Letting us into the sanctity of the Spurs dressing room, Rose filmed fellow midfielder
Sandro performing some impressive [.
After a full week of news both on and off the pitch, Tottenham centre half Younes Kaboul
identified the 3-1 win over Wigan as a return to form after some indifferent results of late.
Younes played a full part in the win and was unlucky not to open the scoring on two occasions
before Gareth Bale and Luka Modric sealed the win.
Down to 7th in the Premier League
We've fired a blank against the worst defence in the league.
And our great hope Wilshire is injured again.
Is this the lowest we have been as Arsenal fans in the last 7 years?
No, is the answer. The lowest was 6 months ago when we had just lost arguably our 2 best players
in their prime, had been stuffed 8-2 at Old Trafford, and we're struggling to stay in the Champions
League.

Stoke City defender Robert Huth admits that getting anything out of tomorrow evening's trip to
Old Trafford will be difficult but hopes that Manchester United are not at their best.
Huth, who is aware that the Potters have not defeated United in over 30 years, has seen the
defending champions bounce back strongly from every setback and is worried that a backlash awaits
following this weekend's 2-1 FA Cup defeat at Liverpool.
It may have have happened in a loss, but Fabian Johnson scored his first goal for TSG 1899
Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Johnson opened his account with the club he joined last summer by netting in the second half of
Hoffenheim's 3-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund. Johnson got on the end of a low cross and one-timed a
powerful shot into the back of the net to prevent Hoffenheim from getting shut out for a second
consecutive game.
Liverpool have today again been linked to Napoli's star striker Edinson Cavani. The £40
million rated striker could be seen as the ideal partner for Luis Suarez, who would surely be able
to persuade the fellow Uraguian striker to join him at Liverpool.
What a partnership Suarez and Cavani would be and his arrival would put extra pressure on Andy
Carroll to perform if he wants to see much game time.

I'm not mean to dampen the mood of everyone here, but I guess many of you out there must be
disappointed by this time of the day when we are only made known of the opening round instead of
the FULL fixture list of this season S.
Glenn Davis on Dynamo Player Acquisitions and Trialists
Some interesting info from Glenn Davis. Most notable the name of one of the trialists (and
intriguing fellow), and a quick poke at the Boniek Garcia rumors. Keep hope alive 2012!
Juninho's replacement, fellow Brazilian midfielder Marcelo Sarvas, is under no illusions about his
role at the Galaxy. He's not Juninho, but his role is the same: bring the best out of David
Beckham. "I know the story of Junnho here at this club," he said. "He came in and did

Robbie Rogers' move to Leeds United has not yet been completed, but the move seems all but done
after Rogers was approved for a work permit.
Not having played the required amount of games for the U.S. men's national team, Rogers
qualified for a work permit on special dispensation.
West London giants Chelsea have finally completed the signing of England centre back Gary Cahill
from fellow Premier League side Bolton Wanderers after a protracted transfer negotiation with the
player over personal terms. Having completed a medical examination at the weekend, Cahill now joins
Chelsea's star studded squad as they look to get their title challenge back on track - and at just
26 may be viewed by the club as a long term replacement for fellow England defender John Terry at
Stamford Bridge.
In his recent post on the loan system, my fellow blogger Lloyd drew attention to its clever
exploitation by Watford in recent seasons. Tom Cleverley was perhaps the best known of the Vicarage
Road lodgers but Ben Foster did strikingly before him, while Henri Lansbury and Andrew Taylor
also starred in gold.
Last November I held the Scottish Football Blog's first - perhaps only - blogathon.
One post an hour for 24 hours with topics chosen on Twitter and by fellow bloggers.
All in aid of two fantastic charities: Alzheimer Scotland and the Homeless World Cup.
24 hours, a few energy drinks, too many cigarettes and 17,000 words later and I was done.
When it comes to blunt, outspoken support for Liverpool's Luis Suarez, Brighton manager and fellow
Uruguayan Gustavo Poyet has been El Pistolero's most passionate advocate, but he may be about to
pay for publicly criticising English football's alleged Governing body. After Suarez was banned for
8 games, Poyet rubbished the decision and called it 'Incredible, shocking and disproportionate',

Arsenal legend and ESPN pundit Martin Keown got hit square in the face by a stray ball live on TV
during the warm-up before Arsenal FA Cup tie with Leeds. The incident occurred when Keown was
giving his pre-match thoughts alongside fellow pundit Robbie Savage before a stray ball emanating
from the Leeds warm-up area [.
Oh, Diego Diego Maradona has hit out at Paris St Germain boss Leonardo by seeming to suggest that
the Brazilian is only in his role due to the masses of money on offer at the Qatari-owned French
outfit. El Diego said: "I wonder if he is a player, coach, agent or oil dealer. I do [...]
The Serie began its second half with a shocker. Fourth placed Lazio was pounded by 17th placed
Siena into submission. Emanuele Calaiò converted two penalties and fellow striker Mattia Destro
poured in another brace.
[E]very time I hear the phrase 'The Premier League era', I see in my mind's eye my fellow blogger
Lanterne Rouge wince. As he never fails to point out, English football did not start in 1992. He
is, of course, entirely correct; the majority of this country's greatest successes, both at club
and particularly at international level came well before the start of the Premier League.
Luis Suárez racism ban is 'incredible' insists Brighton's Gus Poyet
• Poyet says punishment is 'shocking' and 'disproportionate' • Suárez suspended for eight
games and fined £40,000 Gus Poyet has branded the ban and fine imposed on Liverpool's Luis Suárez
as "incredible" and says he backs his fellow Uruguayan "to the death".
Gus Poyet supports Luis Suarez again
Gus Poyet has branded the eight-match ban handed out to Luis Suarez as 'incredible' and says he
backs his fellow Uruguayan 'to the death'.

While doing some research into the team and thinking about possible holiday gifts for the Timbers,
all Timbers fans got a huge gift courtesy of the team. The Timbers announced they were hosting a
four team pre-season tournament at JELD-WEN Field between February 27 and March 4 featuring the
Timbers, fellow MLS clubs Chivas USA and San Jose, and famed Swedish first division side AIK.

Brian "Cobi" Span has joined Swedish club Djurgarden and will start
trianing with the team early next year.
Span, who got his nickname from U.S. Men's National Team star Cobi Jones, was a member of the U.
It's not often that you get detained under the Terrorism Act following the Arsenal. Well, when I
say not often it's probably leaning to never. Except yesterday after the Manchester City defeat.
There I was minding my own business as I tried to exit the arrivals hall after my flight from
Manchester to Southampton.

Liverpool have been alerted to the possible availability of Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil, after the
creative midfielder was warned by manager that his performances needed to significantly improve or
else he would be sold.
The German international was one of the stars of the 2010 World Cup and was signed by Madrid for
€15million from Werder Bremen.

- "Burger King boys Getafe say ‘I'll have fries with this' tonight."
- "[Real Madrid has] a great recipe but it's got to bring the bun out of the oven. It's got to be
a nice cake in the trophy room this year."
Anyone who has been following AFR long enough knows that we're Ray Hudsonites.
Mario strikes again If you thought Mario Balotelli's form was warmer than fellow striker Sergio
Aguero during Manchester City's loss to Chelsea last night, now you know why. The cheeky Italian
pinched his team-mates gloves before kick-off while the Argentine star made some final adjustments
to his boots.
I guess that one advantage of having a schedule that doesn't match any other league's in the
world is that, while MLS teams take a brake over the winter, competitions in Europe are just
starting to heat up. And just as even the most faithful husband can't help but notice a pretty
girl, it definitely isn't treason (or Eurosnobbery, for that matter) for an MLS fan to enjoy a
match between European teams.
Suspended Augsburg FC striker Michael Thurk is still waiting for word from the Philadelphia
Union about signing the German, despite the team having recently acquired Josue Martinez.
Reports out of Germany today continue to discuss Thurk favoring a move to MLS, particularly the
United States, with the Union and Vancouver Whitecaps still at the top of his list of possible
destinations.
While still a ways off from being able to announce a new signing, Seattle Sounders GM Adrian
Hanauer confirmed reports that the team is pursuing Costa Rican international Heiner Mora. Hanauer
also said the team would be looking at the 27-year-old as a right back, although Mora has played
several positions during his 18 appearances with the national team.
Christmas Gifts for the FC Barcelona Fan
The holiday season is upon us and if you are or have a FC Barcelona fan in your life then we
have put together a list of gifts that any culé would love.

Signed Framed Barcelona Champions League Final Jersey 2010-11.
The Philadelphia Union have been linked to Michael Thurk again, this time with the team being
listed as one of the German's two front runners for his services. Thurk's agent, Klaus Gerster,
said that Thurk will make a decision this week, with both the Union and fellow MLS team the
Vancouver Whitecaps as the forward's favored destinations.
Frightening Frimpong Archie Wilshere, son of Arsenal star Jack, was reduced to tears when his dad
showed him a photo of fellow Gooner Emmanuel Frimpong ripping up a Premier League ball. Wilshere
Senior tweeted both the picture and the news that Archie was terrified of it. He wrote: "Showed
Archie this earlier and he cried!
