For the second time in club history, D.C. United faces Real Madrid this afternoon at FedEx Field. The first meeting between the two teams in 2006, saw a 1-1 draw at Qwest Field in Seattle in front of 68,000 fans. Today's match - which kicks-off at 3 p.m. - is expected to have over 70,000. The summer soccer season got even more appealing with the news that Real Madrid will be playing D.C. United on August 9th at FedEx Field in suburban Maryland.

The game will be played at the Washington Redskins' stadium, FedEx Field, rather than United's usual home at RFK Stadium. To make room for the match, United is moving their previously scheduled MLS game against the Kansas City Wizards to Sept.
