The Blues have entered into a partnership with Sporting Kansas City that will see the team move their home venue to the Championship stadium at the Swope Soccer Village in Swope Park.

The NWSL held their first expansion draft today for the Houston Dash. The 10 round draft saw Houston able to select 10 players from the existing eight teams.

In the third round of the draft, the Dash selected Canadian international, Lauren Sesselmann from Kansas City. The defender had formed a solid partnership with Becky Sauerbrunn last year as FCKC finished second in the overall standings.

The plan since the two clubs formed their partnership had been to have the home opener at Sporting Park to start the Blues' 2014 season as they look to defend their NWSL title. With the Blues at home the first weekend of the season against Sky Blue FC the question was all about the date.
