My pal Daniel over at BigDSoccer.com just posted this photo on his twitter feed. Valencia of La
Liga in Spain did this clever jersey sponsor idea of promoting their brand online instead of having
a big time sponsor. I'd say for clubs like FC Dallas, the Colorado Rapids, the Columbus Crew,
Sporting Kansas City and the Chicago Fire that this wouldn't be a bad route for a year while they
finalize any deals with a big company.
The longstanding FC Dallas man for all seasons and play by play announcer passed away on Monday
evening. The public face of FCD he was a much beloved figure amongst fans showing an unsurpassed
humility and love for the game and club. From all accounts he was the sort of unspoiled figure one
dreams off in an age of diminishing loyalties.
Well, it took a number of years, and a couple dozen tries, but an MLS team has finally scored a
victory south of the border in CONCACAF Champions League group play as FC Dallas defeated Pumas
UNAM 1-0 in Mexico City. It shouldn't have taken this long, but sincere congratulations to Schellas
Hyndman's side for finally breaking the ice.
Oh. My. God. Check out this tweet and image just sent by Dynamo Senior Vice President Rocky
