Over the Christmas period, Real Madrid and Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo spent a day in
Uzbekistan (supposedly for a hefty $860,000 payment). During his whirlwind tour of the oil-rich
country, Ronaldo made a stop at FC Bunyodkor to perform some ball tricks in front of some 8,000
soccer fans. However, a local youth stole the show [.
After only four months in charge of Uzbekistan side FC Bunyodkor, Luis Felipe Scolari is once
again facing the sack. Despite earning an astonishing £230,000 a week as head coach of the
ambitious side; Scolari has become unstuck once again.
There are parallels to be drawn with his infamous tenure at Chelsea which ended in Feburary
2009.
Awwww, qué dulce! Greaseano visited Uzbekistan yesterday to see how they do
stuff at FC Bunyodkor, the club which Scolari coaches and the same one
which tried to buy Eto'o last year. Anyway, he held a football clinic for young players, visited
the club's premises and also the museum of football.
