It's Thursday, which means yet another round of Europa League Group matches this afternoon. Both Everton and Fulham have important games this afternoon, both of which are available to those who have GolTV.

First up, Tim Howard and Everton taking on Benfica (1pm) in Portugal. It's a clash the top two clubs in Group I, and if Everton grabs all three points they will be in a commanding position to advance out of their group.

USSoccerPlayers 02 October @ 08:00 AM EST
Danny Murphy's 57th-minute goal was the difference in Fulham's 1-0 over FC Basel in the Europa League's Group E. Clint Dempsey got the start in a game where the losing team produced most of the shots on goal, but Fulham had the dangerous chances. Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer needed seven saves for the shutout. Howard and Everton head to Borisov, Belarus to take on FC BATE. The lengthy trip will certainly factor into the squad selection, though this second match could be critical for an Everton side that started off well with a 4-0 win against AEK Athens at home.

Fulham, Everton in action as Europa League Group Stages start today

Soccer By Ives 17 September @ 10:31 AM EST

With the Europa League group stages starting today, it will likely translate into European action on a regular basis for Fulham and Everton regulars Clint Dempsey and Tim Howard. However, Dempsey is set to miss Fulham's opener against CSKA Moscow due to an injury. With Roy Hodgson set to rest a number of regular starters, there's a chance -- however slight -- that Eddie Johnson might see some action today against the Russian club.

Champion's League: Night of The Greeks

OK, so I blew the call on the Inter-Anonthosis match but I think keepers Julio Cesar (Inter) and Arian Begaj (Anorthosis) combined for one of the most noteworthy goalkeeping displays we've seen this year. Click to continue reading...

Holy suckin' Roma Batman (UCL round-up)

The Beautiful Game (2) 17 September @ 10:15 AM EST
Man, I never woulda had Roma losing to Cluj, a Romanian side, at home.
Christian Panucci had the favored side up 1-0 with a header in the 17th minute, but Emmanuel Culio bagged the next two with goals at 28' and 49' to give the visitors a shocking win.
It wasn't undeserved either, the underdogs played well enough to win and deserved the three points in Group A. Click to continue reading...
