Albirex can't stop scoring and indeed the goals keeping flowing in the SLeague.
It's been a while since I've had a good wholesome rant about football in Singapore. I find it very
therapeutic to lash out once in a while from the anonymity of a keyboard and decry the faults so
evident in others while I am never called to task on my opines!
Personally speaking I find Singapore football to be exciting.
SINGAPORE, 18 July 2011: Singapore defeated Chinese-Taipei 3-2 at the Jalan Besar
Stadium just days before they march back onto the very same pitch for the 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP
BRAZIL™ ASIAN QUALIFIERS ROUND TWO Match against Malaysia.
The game got off to a slow start and steadily picked up pace with both teams looking to break
the deadlock.
The Singapore team bench before the kick-offI did something I seldom do during a football match -
switch side ... in order to get some shots from stocking my archive.
We were told to confine ourselves to a small white perimeter box located at the far corner of the
field that to our dismay with much of action taken place on the opposite flank.

SINGAPORE, 5th July 2011: Singapore National Team coach, Radojko Avramovic has selected a
list of 25 players for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Brazil Qualifying Round Two matches against
Malaysia to be played on 23rd July and 28th July 2011.

Tampines Rovers are left sitting pretty at the top of the SLeague after the champions from the last
two seasons, Etoile and SAFFC, fought out a 1-1 draw last night at Jalan Besar.
Anthony Moulin gave Etoile the lead just after half time but Fazrul Nawaz levelled things on the
hour mark.
Busy night for the ref with nine yellows and one red.

Good starts to the season are always important and for the leading contenders for SLeague 2011 it
was doubly so as they all faced tricky away games.

Sriwijaya play some team from the Arab world in a final play off next week. I would love it if they
win and the arabs start whining about the match officials!
