There are a number of ways to get called up to a historically prestigious national team, among them simply owning an Argentinean passport between the years 2008 and 2010. Not on that list is being a 29 year old defender for a minnow languishing near the bottom of Serie B. Typically, anyway, if things are being judged on merit.

Sunday was a day to forget for the Revolution Youth Academy as the U-16s and U-18s were each handed 3-0 losses by the Chicago Fire during New England's second match of the Winter Showcase.

The 18s fell into a hole two minutes into their match when Andrew Conner's goal put the Fire in front early.

Watching the last 20 minutes of the Heart v Sydney FC game last night one thing was clear, the Heart players are not enjoying their game.
They are stressed. Perhaps even broken hearted. A goal from a corner - that van't Schip rightly pointed out wasn't a corner - and its is a draw. A 1-0 win from a quality goal from their new Brazilian signing is relegated to 1-1 and a 10th match without a win.

The season is still 10 days away, but branding exercises set in place by our team of marketing staffers have long been in place. Whether in the form of an ad welcoming Charlie Davies to DC, a billboard in Adams Morgan, a promotional video truck circling the city, creative packaging for season ticket delivery, or grassroots activation in action, the talented cast of Kyle Sheldon, Boris Flores, Amanda Farina, Ben Mahler, Jamie Siegel and Andrew Minucci are at the root of the project.

Michael Theokiltos - Keeper
Score: 9 / 10
32 starts for 32 games. 87 saves and 12 clean sheets.
Perhaps Ange's key signing for the year. The Greek connection probably played some role. However, there is no doubting Theo's quality. While the strength of the team in front, means he won't get full recognition, Theo is in the top 2 keepers in the A-League.

On February 2, 2007, Palermo traveled to Catania's Stadio Angelo Massimino for a Sicilian derby that unfortunately changed football throughout Italy.

The fixture commenced without Palermo supporters in the stands. They were not able to get into the stadium until the start of the second half.
