At the beginning of last season (2010) we highlighted Nani's emergence as a "must have" Fantasy
Premier League option when Antonio Valencia broke his leg in a Champions League game and eventually
missed the majority of the 2010-2011 season. Deja ... Continue reading →

Facing media scrutiny and the possibility of disciplinary action, Pepe has issued an apology to
Leo Messi.
Well, sort of.
A day after what appeared to be a deliberate step on Messi's hand in Real Madrid's 2-1 loss to
Barcelona, Pepe told Real Madrid's website that it was an involuntary act.
Everton are bringing back USA star Landon Donovan in January. Nic Anelka is going to China. And
Mario Balotelli is in a fight in training once again. Tons of news around the Premier League, but

Wow, that's really all I can say about yesterdays match between United and City in English Premier
League. Manchester teams went against each other and boy did City come off victorious. The match
was definitely most awaitened match this season in Premier League soccer, and it delivered. Fantasy
soccer wise, it was also a lot better than expected.
The Manchester Derby. Trash your Tevez shirt day. Joe Hart overhead kicks at the training ground.
It can't really get too much better than this. Let's preview this 9th Premier League Gameweek... I.

With most of the playoff spots spoken for, the final week of MLS is sure to be
unpredictable.
Coaches are more likely to rest key players, which makes picking a fantasy team very difficult.
Since lineups lock for MFLS on Wednesday, you will have to set your lineup with some uncertainty
this week.
English Premier League has given us eight weeks of soccer action so far, and now it's time to
predict what will this new batch of fixtures bring to the football table.
Last gameweek in Fantasy Premier League saw new names arise on top of the weekly point table as the
usual suspects didn't deliver.

There are two weeks left in MLS with a full slate of games each week to earn enough fantasy
points to finish at the top spot in SBI's fantasy division.
The playoff picture is starting to clear up as many teams are beginning to clinch spots, while
others have dropped out.

This week in MLS, which was originally intended to be an international calendar break, was
created due to games that were rescheduled throughout the year. There are three games this week,
and with only three weeks left in the MFLS schedule, it is important that you don't lose ground due
to players not playing.

Dwayne De Rosario has been on a hot streak that every fantasy MLS owner should riding. After a
disappointing first half of the season, he has become the highest-scoring field player in MFLS and
had one of the most impressive weeks of the season this past week.

With only five weeks left, now is the time to use your remaining transfers and prepare for a
strong ending to the fantasy season. With six teams playing two games this week, there are plenty
of fantasy points up for grabs.
Football is great, fantasy soccer exciting, but some gameweeks you just wish you could forget as
quick as you can. I've already had my share of those this season, as it seems my football team has
faced it all: injuries, red cards, missed penalties... You name it, my make believe soccer team has
done it.

A high scoring week in MLS left many fantasy points up for grabs last week. One of the more
surprising fantasy performers was Charlie Davies, who notched a hat trick on the road vs.
A premiership fantasy football team just isn't enough. One must compete on all fronts; be ready for
competitions beyond their capacity and clear of their means. So that's why IntheStands are
fighting on both fronts The Premiership and the Champions league to be prosperous and notorious
amongst our rival friends.

After back-to-back weeks with many teams off, there will be a full slate of MLS matches this
week. Many players have been travelling a bunch with their respective national teams, which could
affect their play as they return to MLS.

When setting up your teams each week, it is important to think of all factors that will affect
each game. Last week, it was very important to account for weather when making your player choices
as three games were postponed due to the impact of Hurricane Irene.

Sporting Kansas City continued their strong form last week with two wins that put them in a
excellent position to make the playoffs. Graham Zusi put in a very strong fantasy output, scoring
two goals in their midweek game vs.

DC United continued their strong form this week as they trounced Vancouver at home. DC has
continued to turn thing around since their acquisition of Dwayne DeRosario and are now likely to
make the playoffs if they continue their strong form.
The new 2011/2012 English Premier League season is set to kick off this morning at 10am, but
there's still time to take part in SBI's new Fantasy EPL League.
Apologies for the late set-up, but we were able to complete the construction of the league,
which will be running on the FoxSoccer.

Dwayne De Rosario seems to have finally found his home in DC. De Rosario was a threat to the
attack in Toronto and New York but looks to be a different, more influential player since coming to
D.
For a day when nothing concrete really happened, it has been a crazy day. The Tevez/Nasri swap was
thrown out there and led to Jeremy's excellent post on other potential swap deals that might make
sense for both clubs. I'll throw in a slightly smaller deal into the mix as my contribution to
rampant speculation about transfers that will never happen: Niko Kranjcar for Nik Bendtner No,

What makes a great defender for your fantasy soccer team? He of course has to play in a winning
team. He of course has to play often and whole games. If he scores a goal or gives an assist now
and then that is a big plus. Of course we wouldnt mind if his price wouldnt be too much either.
So who are these denfenders.
So, what about midfielders. After all, they are usually the most important choices to be made in
your fantasy premier league team. Many seasons have shown that the players who collect the most
points in fantasy premier league are almost always midfielders. The reason of course being that
they get points for just about anything, 5 points for a goal (that's 1 point more than attackers
get.
Less than week to go until the begininng of the Fantasy Premier League, so it's about time to start
looking at the top picks and tips for your team. I'll try to give comments about the best player
for your team in every price range. So, no more blabbering, let's get right to business.

At this point in the season, losing a team's leading scorer could be devastating. However,
Carlos Ruiz's abrupt exit from Philadelphia could bring on an exciting opportunity for young stars
Danny Mwanga and Roger Torres.
I'm not sure if there are any spaces still open but two more private leagues have been posted.

A high-scoring week of MLS action is just what fantasy owners needed after three 0-0 draws in
the previous week.
For this season, it has appeared that the best fantasy strategy is to play players that have a
game against Toronto.

Sergio Aguero's desire to play for a big club has been fulfilled, as he'll soon suit up for
Manchester City.
City has signed the Argentine international, agreeing to a $63 million transfer fee with his
current club, Atletico Madrid. The move makes him the second most expensive Premier League signing
of all time, behind only Chelsea's Fernando Torres.

A full week of MLS games made for a high scoring week last week. There is a much lighter
schedule this week with no teams playing twice this week as many of them are engaged in the US Open
Cup competition. Prepare a challenge to find the right starting lineup as most games are fairly
even this week.

Everyone had their doubts about FC Dallas after its star midfielder, David Ferreira, was injured

Brek Shea has proved to be the spark in the offense that has replaced Ferreira as he has scored in
four straight MLS games.
Manchester City's rotation minefield just became that much more precarious for fantasy managers to
