The FA has created a season-long campaign to celebrate and promote men's grassroots 11-a-side

If you are suffering from a mid-season crisis (like I am), never fear, the United Arab Emirates may
save our fantasy blushes in only a few weeks.
Fantasy slave Ronaldo's exorbitant price tag has made this season extremely difficult for even the
most creative fantasy premier league managers. Little "wiggle room" to bring in
complimentary big-name players and the rise of cheap options like Ireland and Geovanni has made
this season, in my opinion, a bit "stale.

A quick note from Butt's Brain as I watch the Arsenal - Wigan match live. I haven't watched Wigan
in quite some time but Ryan Taylor (4.2M) looks very lively today and has provided
superb delivery from free kicks and corners for Wigan.
As we've mentioned in the past, Wigan defenders (Figueroa/Melchiot) should only be considered as
bench options, but Taylor is playing in an advanced midfield role today.

The fantasy premier league world is going bananas over blog favorites Bent, Bentley, and Modric.
Tottenham reached the Carling Cup Quarter-finals in style, downing in-form Liverpool's second
string side with ease.
But that's not the only good news coming out of White Hart Lane. Reports have surfaced that Harry
Redknapp is prepared to launch a bid for Barcelona stud Gai Assulin in the January transfer window.

I gamble. I probably shouldn't, but I do. I keep Excel spreadsheets, stick to the maths, play the
numbers, and only bet on what I know best - the Premier League.

Last season Cristiano Ronaldo averaged a fantasy point every 9.7 minutes he played. As he rounds in
to form this year, he is producing at a rate of 10.5 minute per point. The question has been
answered. If you want to be a consistent fantasy prem boss, you need to set aside 14.

Some supporters tell us that we are the wittiest fantasy premier league blog. Drunkenly, they chant
our name at stadiums across the globe, "Never Captain Nicky Butt! Never Captain Nicky
Butt!"
Joe Kinnear clearly disagrees.
He captained Nicky Butt.
The end of the world is near.

Buy a few more physios Roman, it looks like Chelsea are headed for yet another injury crisis. Deco
(thigh) & Carvalho (knee) have been missing for a month, Joe Cole (gashed head (old) and ankle
problem (new)) and Didier Drogba (knee) are short of fitness, and word coming out of the England
camp suggests that John Terry (back) and Ashley Cole (hamstring) have been ruled out of The
Three Lions' World Cup qualifier versus Belarus.
