Our non-league videos of the week are twenty-four hours late this week, but we have four matches
for you this evening two from the top of the Blue Square Bet Premier, one from the Blue Square Bet
South and one from the FA Vase. First up are two matches from the championship battle at the top of
the Blue Square Bet Premier.
We have five matches for you this evening, from the Blue Square Premier to Division One Central
of the Southern League, and finishing off with the Premier Division of the Super League in
Scotland. First up is a match that we have already mentioned on this site today, the Blue Square
Premier match between Wrexham and Kettering Town.

consecutive Saturday home games for the Poachers. The last time I was down here for a games was on
December 3rd when they hosted Tipton Town in the last round of this competition.

Another home game for Oadby Town this afternoon, this time against former adversaries in the
Midland Football Alliance Tipton Town in the 3rd round (last 64) of the FA Vase. This is the first
time since the 2004/05 season that Oadby have reached this stage of the competition.
A charming shot of an F.A. Vase match between Bemerton Heath Harlequins at their ground in
Wiltshire, England, against visitors Saltash United. Bemerton Heath were founded as recently as
1989, after a merger of three local clubs.

Following four consecutive Saturday's watching other clubs in the East Midlands I am back at GKP
for the second in a run of four Saturday home games for the Poachers. After last weeks tough
victory against local rival St.

FA Vase 2nd Round
Greene King Park
After a five week break I am back at GKP for what on paper should be a cracking tie in the FA Vase.
Both teams currently sit in the top six in the East Midlands Counties League (EMCL), and they
played each other at the end of August with Oadby running out 3-1 winners.
Following the diabolical refereeing from Mr D Hunt, which cost us dearly at Parkgate last
Saturday, Boro boss Rudy Funk gave his opinions on the day in the local paper, here is the article
which I think just sums up the true feelings held by everyone connected to the club, I honestly
think that we are been targeted as a club, unfairly so, and I speak as an ex referee when I say
that the officials in this league are mainly very poor, and generally just not up to the standards
required.
We have six matches for you as non-league videos of the week, from three different competitions.
First of all, we have two matches from the Blue Square Premier, between AFC Telford United and
Gateshead, and Mansfield Town and Alfreton Town. Next up, we have three matches from the First
Qualifying Round of the FA Trophy, the matches between Bedworth United and Hednesford Town,
Dartford and Truro City, and Weymouth and AFC Totton.
Boro's progress in the FA Vase was halted by a combination of cheating opponents and a referee
(Mr D Hunt) who should not be allowed anywhere near a football pitch again after this
performance. I am used to seeing inept officials in this league, but yesterday's was I have
been told by many fans the worst yet to officiate a Boro game.
Unable to make the trip to Parkgate, I decided to go to the Pickering Town v Stavely Miners
Welfare game at a sunny Pickering FC. The sun may have been shining, but it was the only thing to shine as this was a dour game of
football played out by two mediocre teams with little passing ability.
The football clubs of the Premier League and the Championship had a break for another round of
international matches this weekend, but there were few such luxuries for the butchers, bakers and
candlestick makers of non-league football with a round of fixtures which included the Preliminary
Round of another competition which has suffered a little damage to its reputation in recent years,
the FA Trophy.
This week's non-league videos of the week come from a variety of different competitions,
including the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Vase. First up, though, is the match between
Cambridge City and Banbury United in the Southern League Premier Division. Cambridge were beaten in
the play-offs in this league last season, and are hoping to go one better than that this this
season, whilst Banbury United are are hoping to challenge for the championship themselves.

A briefer report than normal today as I am back at Greene King part for the second time this season
to see Oadby Town. This is their first and hopefully not last game in this seasons FA Vase.
This week's non-league videos of the week come from the top of the Blue Square South, the
Southern League Division One South and West and the FA Vase. Our first two matches feature two
clubs that have had an excellent start to the season in the Blue Square South. Dartford sit in the
play-off places in the division, and they are at home against struggling Eastleigh, while leaders
Welling United faced a long trip south-west for a tricky match against another team that has made
an inconsistent start to the season, Dorchester Town.

A visit to Oadby Town Football Club was not on my agenda this afternoon at all, actually in fact
six weeks ago it was not on my agenda all season!!!! Not because I have no interest in the club but
because I was planning to spend the season, like previous ones ground hopping.

The history of football in Fleetwood, Lancashire, is one of boom and bust. The town's original
club, Fleetwood FC, renamed itself Fleetwood Town and were founder members of the Northern Premier
League in 1968, before folding in 1976. A new club sprang up the following year, reached the final
of the FA Vase in 1985 and won back its place in the Premier Division of the Northern Premier
League three years later.

It's time for a bit of a non-league round-up (as is our wont at this time of the week), with
highlights of three matches from the last couple of weekend's worth of matches. First up, we're
taking the opportunity to catch up with one of the matches from the weekend of the 15th of January,
with the FA Trophy Second Round match between Blyth Spartans.
Tyrell Belford hopes the FA Youth Cup will provide him with the perfect opportunity to add another
winners' medal to the family mantelpiece.
The 16-year-old's father, Dale, was once on Aston Villa's books as a goalkeeper and went on to win
the 1989 FA Vase with Tamworth.
Belford junior admits his Dad has been a major influence on his fledgling career and hopes he can
enhance the family name by going on to enjoy success at the highest level in the future.
Tomorrow will hopefully see Scarborough Athletic back in league action when we are due to play
at Tadcaster Albion, but we have had another layer of snow fall this evening and it is snowing now
at 9.30 pm on the eve of the game so I am guessing there will be a late pitch inspection sometime
tomorrow.
