Q: Why don't Arsenal score from corners A: Because Van Persie takes them! Q: What's the most
popular item in the Arsenal club shop? A: The Van Persie tea tray, because it carries 10 mugs!
Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera... Unless you're of a distinctly Arsenal persuasion, you're probably
sick to the back teeth of these stats [.
The whole Carlos Tevez saga is quickly turning into a farcical situation, with the AWOL player and
his club, Manchester City, seemingly growing further and further apart by the day. However, neither
side really seems too bothered by the whole affair. While the Citizens have been dominating the
Premier League, Tevez has been enjoying himself [.

ever since all seater stadiums were introduced, and both sides of have strong, well developed
arguments to back them up. However, the unfortunate reality is that much of the debate is rendered
invalid by the simple maxim: money talks.
Last night's announcement that Gareth Bale has been named PFA Player of the Year was not a great
surprise to many. Bale fought off competition from the likes of Charlie Adam, Rafael van der Vaart,
Carlos Tevez and Nemanja Vidic to scoop the prestigious award, voted for the highest proportion of
his fellow professionals.
Conforming to just about every stereotype going, perfectly-named Aston Villa director U.S General

In what may be seen as slightly surprising news, the FA Premier League fined Blackpool £25,000

punishment was harsher than the suspended fine handed down to Wolverhampton Wanderers in similar
circumstances last season.
After yesterday's Premier League results it would take a lucky man or a fool to bet on the next
Premier League manager to lose his job. Avram Grant, Carlo Ancelotti and Roy Hodgson's days are
surely numbered after Blackburn Rovers thrashed Liverpool 3-1, West Ham was humiliated by Newcastle
United 5-0 and Chelsea were embarrassed [.
The January transfer window has opened but as yet there hasn't been much to talk about.

Its that time of year again when thoughts invariably turn to the ‘new' and stock is taken of the
