Manchester United disappointment after losing the FA Cup semifinal against their city rival,
Manchester City, last weekend, seems still looming on the Red Devils mind as they failed to break
Newcastle United's stubborn defense in the Premier League latest match on Tuesday.
Despite having Wayne Rooney back from suspension, Sir Alex Ferguson, didn't really managed to
turn the screw against the Magpies, as the match ended in a 0-0 draw, resulting in only gaining one
point more ahead of their title rival, Arsenal.
Still feeling the euphoria after advancing to the FA Cup final by defeating their city rival,
Manchester City's defender, Vincent Kompany, believed that although there's still a gap between
them with Manchester United and other title contenders, but the difference is getting smaller now
especially after the FA Cup success.
This Balotelli Ferdinand fight took place right after the FA Cup semifinal between Manchester
United and Man City, which the latter edged 1-0, thanks to a solitary Yaya Toure goal. Both Mario
Balotelli and Rio Ferdinand are known for their fragile tempers and it is no wonder that the two
got involved in a fight.
Last week Manchester City announced a special hash-tag for the FA Cup Semifinal against
Manchester United. So what did it look like during the match?
Volume of Tweets tagged with #CityAtWembley during FA Cup Semifinal
You can clearly see the major events of match based on tweet volume, although people didn't seem
too concerned with Scholes' red card (did seem like it was coming, didn't it?
Manchester City spent millions and millions to build a team capable of winning trophies, but the
boys in Blue are down to one last chance for silverware, with the FA Cup being the last trophy the
Citizens are capable of winning.
The only problem is Manchester United stands in the way.
Stuart Holden will miss the FA Cup semifinal for Bolton but two all-Yank affairs sees Tim Howard
and Jermaine Jones go head-to-head while Jonathan Spector welcomes Michael Bradley and Brad Friedel
to Upton Park.
Is this the man to unlock Barça's defense?
There are a number of matches worth watching this weekend: the Manchesters facing off Saturday
in the FA Cup semifinal is certainly worth your time, as are Udinese at Napoli and Arsenal
hosting Liverpool on Sunday. But these games pale in comparison to the first of four el clásicos
taking place over the next three weeks.
Herculez Gomez is at it again.
A year after Gomez led the Mexican Clausura in goals with 10 for Puebla, the American striker is
putting together another strong run of form in the spring, scoring in his second consecutive match
in Pachuca's 4-2 loss to Tigres Wednesday night.
Having Carlos Tevez injured for quite a while, has left Manchester City's coach, Roberto
Mancini, in trusting the club's troubled striker, Mario Balotelli, as the front player that could
be City's main goal source for the time being especially this Weekend as they set to face
Manchester United in the FA Cup.

What's the cost of cursing into a camera? Two games, as it turns out, even if your name is Wayne
Rooney.
The English FA upheld Rooney's two-game suspension after the Manchester United striker directed
profanities at an on-field camera in United's 4-2 defeat of West Ham on Saturday.
My initial reaction on seeing that we were paired with Chelsea in the Champions League
quarterfinals?
Disappointment.
Perhaps due to my half-awake state, it hit me harder, but there was an immediate and audible
negative reaction. I wasn't disappointed because I felt it was a bad draw, but I was disappointed
because this was actually the last draw I wanted United to land, at least for the quarters.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been handed a five-match ban by the English FA
following critical comments of a referee earlier this month.
The Scottish manager blasted match official Martin Atkinson following United's 2-1 defeat to
Chelsea on March 1.

It was a tough weekend for league leaders across Europe. In Italy, AC Milan needed an 82nd
minute goal from Antonio Cassano to salvage a home draw against last-placed Bari on Sunday. Despite
dominating possession and creating numerous chances (including two disallowed goals), the Serie A
leaders couldn't seem to find an equalizer for most of the match, a frustration that came to a head
in the 73rd minute when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was sent off.
Stuart Holden and Bolton moved a step closer to a dream run to the FA Cup Final by beating
Birmingham, 3-2, in their quarterfinal match-up on Saturday.
South Korean Lee-Chung Yong scored a 90th-minute winner to send Bolton to its first FA Cup
semifinal in 11 years.
Holden played all 90 minutes for the Trotters, which were the first team to reach the
semifinals.
