I do have a soft sport for Thai Port but as they go into their third final appearance in three
years next week against Buriram PEA they don't look to have much of a squad left for next
season.
The exodus started during the mid season break when their coach Sasom Pobprasert moved to First
Division side Buriram, taking three players with him including Sompong Soleb.
Arsenal's inability to hold on to Cesc Fabregas, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri last summer will be
repeated this year with Robin Van Persie, Theo Walcott and Alex Song all joining the exodus. This
is a simple by-product of Arsenal's failure to show ambition to win trophies by investing in top
class players.
After sensationally walking out on Pelita Jaya last Friday, Indonesian international Diego Michiels
has reported to have signed for Persija, the version playing in the officially recognised Indonesia
Premier League.
He said he quit Pelita Jaya, who play in the unofficial Indonesia Super League because he was
worried about his place in the international team following announcements from the PSSI, the FA,
that only players with IPL teams could be called up.

1997-8 season came round, two years had elapsed since Reading had lost so gallantly in the play off
final against Bolton Wanderers.
Only big spending in January, not Vermaelen's new deal, will keep RvP at
Arsenal
It was a bit premature of Arsene Wenger to claim he's headed-off another exodus of stars next
summer by getting Thomas Vermaelen to sign a new deal. The Belgian has played four league games in
the past 13 months and is once again recovering from surgery.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Arsenal are highly unlikely to pursue more defenders in the
near future, quashing speculation that linked the Gunners with the likes of Bolton's Gary Cahill
and Everton's Phil Jagielka.
Wenger has made it no secret that the recent long-term extension signed by vice-captain Thomas
Vermaelen has completely changed the outlook of the club's dressing room and citing the presence of
a deep back-line, the Frenchman has stated his desire to maintain the status quo.
Well well, I miss a couple of weeks of the Allsvenskan for various reasons and look what
happens: we end up with a champion. Helsingborg won the Allsvenskan 2011 and did so in style. I
can´t think of a worthier champion. They played well all year and despite selling their best
offensive weapons (Gerndt to Utrecht and Jönsson to Wolfsburg), losing Peter Larsson on the end of
their loan deal with Copenhagen, they still managed to win the league.

Everton utility man Seamus Coleman is once again being linked with a surprise move to bitter rivals
Liverpool by fanatix.co.uk.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish worked hard throughout the summer to strengthen his squad and it had
appeared as though there would not be anymore transfer activity at Anfiield this season.
After yesterday's debacle, it is time to take a step back and see where we are, how did we get
he and what the future holds. There is no point in analysing yesterday's match, it is certified XXX
in the minds of all Arsenal fans.
We all knew it was not going to be an easy match but the roots of the result go back, probably
two or three seasons ago.

Woke up feeling decidedly 'irie', and as such felt compelled to put together a ten-strong

I fear for Newcastle, says new Liverpool left-back José Enrique
• Spaniard worried about former club's player exits • 'I think Joey Barton will leave soon'
José Enrique, Liverpool's new £6m left-back, has said he fears for former club Newcastle United
due to the lack of ambition that has precipitated a talent drain from St James' Park.
The NBA players got a small victory recently when FIBA ruled that they will be able to play
overseas during the NBA lockout. The owners surely would have loved for FIBA to rule against the
players but the international body will allow the exodus.
However, there is a catch. If an NBA player gets hurt overseas, he could jeopardize his NBA
contract.
The media-dubbed "Arsepocalypse" or "Arsenal exodus" is a huge farce. According to the British
press, Arsene Wenger's empire is crumbling. Many Arsenal supporters believe that Samir Nasri and
Cesc Fabregas have one foot out the door when that is...

It's 18 days since I last peered over the blogging parapet. The last time I did there were very
few bullets whizzing over my head. Now there's a full-blown barrage, though I must confess, I'm not
sure who is firing at who.
Until someone valued at £10m+ comes in a big signing, if you will then the mood will remain as
glum as it has become.
I wouldn't even wipe my arse with The Daily Star! by Peter Rooke There is report in the Daily Star
this morning that is suggesting that Robin Van Persie is considering joining the exodus from
Arsenal started by Nicklas Bentner and Denilson, and then (seemingly) followed up by Cesc Fabregas,
Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy.

The tournament that essentially inspired the World Cup had been watered down.
Little by little, Copa America had lost some of its prestige. CONMEBOL decided to implement a
two-year cycle in the South American tournament in the mid-1980s to give each nation a chance to
host the competition.

"I see no City!"
His pet-project is looking ever-more Barca bound, a £7 million fee has been agreed with
Manchester City for left-back Gael Clichy and there are several swirling reports that
Samir Nasri may be about to follow his compatriot to Eastlands for £20-odd million, but Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has refused to discuss the fact that he may be about to lose a triplet of
first-team players.
Arsenal fans are gearing themselves for an influx of players, we are waiting with baited
breath. We are also aware that the exodus from the Emirates will be a big one this summer.
Players who have not made the grade, others who have not had the opportunity and some who think
the grass is greener on the other side of the tracks.
There has been numerous reports suggesting an overhaul of the Liverpool squad this summer following
Kenny Dalglish's appointment as manager and it appears that the exodus could be underway.
The Reds have announced the departure of Jason Banton, Deale Chamberlain, Douglas Cooper, Sean
Highdale, Steven Irwin and Nikola Saric.

With the brow-furrowing news that Kevin Nolan is currently undergoing a medical ahead of a move
to West Ham this afternoon, Newcastle cohort Joey Barton along with the majority of the watching
world has reacted with a big fat hairy 'eh?', hinting at to the Twittersphere that there may well
be a mini-exodus on the cards at St James' Park this summer.
Arsenal full-back Gael Clichy is ready to join Liverpool in a potential £5.5million
deal which could spark an exodus at the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Having rejected two new contract offers, Clichy has also made clear his intention to leave North
London with Inter Milan, Bayern Munich and Liverpool amongst many other clubs ready to snap up the
full-back.
In The Stands can reveal that Manchester United have completed the signing of
Ashley Young from Aston Villa for £20million.
The 25 year-old winger passed a medical in Manchester on Thursday and has put pen to paper in a
four year deal.
Young joins highly-rated Blackburn youngster Phil Jones, who made the switch to the Theatre of
Dreams having finalized a £16.
After speculation arose that Steve McClaren was hot favourite for the Aston Villa job midweek,
it now seems that the former Middlesbrough boss is now out of the running after initial talks
broke-down last minute with the Birmingham outfit.
Whatever led to those talks breaking down may have a worrying knock-on effect for Villa fans as
McClaren may have held the key to keeping one of their star performers, Stewart Downing, at the
club.
On Sunday night Sampdoria travelled to Rome to face sixth place AS Roma and came away with nothing
in their final game after relegation. The awful campaign is now over and the exodus from the club
looks like it will happen. For the game Sampdoria had to deal without Franco Semioli, Stefano
Lucchini, Daniele Gastaldello and Federico Macheda all missed the trip to the capital.
We all know Manchester City's transfer policy of not selling anyone of their players to a club they
see as a direct rival to them so let's forget all this talk about Carlo Tevez now. With City
winning the FA Cup and confirming their qualification for the Champions League next season, it's
pretty much certain that we will see an exodus of players leaving Eastlands and their owner
splashing the cash on big big names this summer.
The bold white print on the specially designed blue T-shirts said it all - "Rangers, back in the
big time."
And it was for the time being at least, true. At Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon, QPR defeated
Watford to end a 15-year exodus from the top flight of English football.
Port Vale defender Exodus Geohaghon described his horror at being called a ‘n*****' in a
torrent of racial abuse from his own club's fans.
The 26-year-old centre-back had to be dragged away from his tormentors, who screamed racist
invective at him as he left the field at the end of Saturday's defeat at Accrington Stanley.
Liverpool head to the Czech Republic to face Sparta Prague.
And let's just get it out of the way "THIS IS SPARTA" is not an acceptable joke anymore.
Questionable whether it ever was. Fight the impulse. Okay, we know you did it anyway at some point.
Get over it.
European football returns for Liverpool after what seems like an eternity, and it's at a great
time.
Could the exit door have the name of Jermaine Jenas written on it by the end of the transfer
window?
While many have expected a mini exodus of Spurs' midfielders this month, JJ wasn't reckoned to
be one of them, but with Aston Villa suddenly finding the money they denied Martin O'Neill, they
have supposedly asked Tottenham to ‘name their price'.
The transfer that seemed to have died out was finally confirmed today by the Lech Poznań
officials. Rafał Murawski, our starting central midfielder, returns to Poland after spending two
years in Kazan playing for the local Rubin. This comes as a great news for the Kolejorz and
Ekstraklasa fans, especially after an exodus of many talented players in the January transfer
window, but is a worrying piece of information for those who value the success of the national team
the most.
The great exodus has begun. The overrated and the overpaid have started to scatter, some
complaining of the coldness of a manager who doesn't appear to appreciate their gifts. Few seem to
be expressing gratitude for the munificence that has allowed them to amass millions without
actually doing anything of worth.
Ongisnade, the leading Arema fan site, is suggesting inspirational captain and skipper Pierre
Njanka is ready to quit the Indonesia Super League champions, frustrated at not being paid for
ages.
The former Cameroon international, who was Jakarta Casual Player Of The Year 2010, could well spark
an exodus of biblical proportions if he does quit.
Liverpool's new owners have been warned that even the sacking of Roy Hodgson might not be enough to
stave off an exodus of their key players, including Fernando Torres and Pepe Reina. Although the
manager's departure appears inevitable, and the two Spanish players would not leave during the
winter transfer window, frustration at the club's inertia means they will go in the summer if they
are not convinced by the new manager and handed reassurances of major investment.
