According to Greg O'Keeffe at the Daily Post, Everton are looking to raise
about £11million to sign Wigan Athletic midfielder
Charles N'Zogbia. Everton hope to raise the funds by selling Joseph
Yobo and Ayegbeni Yakubu but are having problems doing so.
According to Philip Kirkbride at the Liverpool Echo, Everton have begun
discussing a new deal with midfielder Marouane Fellaini, who has just over two
years left on his current deal. Manager David Moyes said,
"I think talks have started now, even though I've not spoken to Marouane personally about it
.
According to the Daily Post, Everton defender John Heitinga is
unhappy with his playing time and position at the club and could leave this summer. Heitinga
said,
"I have certainly not come here to sit on the bench ... Together with Phil Neville, I have more
experience than all the others.
According to Philip Kirkbride at the Daily Post, Everton defender Phil
Jagielka, who recent signed a long-term deal, wants to see the club bring in new faces
this summer. Jagielka said,
"We haven't got the biggest of squads so I don't think there will be many out (in the summer)
but we need some in to strengthen the squad .

Yakubu, who is currently on loan at Leicester City, wants to
permanently stay with the club. Manager Sven Goran Eriksson said,
"I'm quite sure if we go up that Yakubu will stay, and he wants to.

Moyes was insulted by the offers made by Tottenham for defender
Phil Neville. Moyes said,
"We have had an offer from Tottenham of £250,000 which we received on Saturday afternoon.
UPDATE: According to Everton's official website, Everton have
loaned out striker James Vaughan to Crystal Palace for the rest
of the season with the option of making the deal permanent in the summer.

Everton striker James Vaughan admitted that he would not mind
extending his loan with Crystal Palace.
According to James Pearce at the Daily Post, Everton boss David
Moyes is looking to sign a striker on loan before the transfer window closes. Moyes
said,
"We are lacking a bit of creativity or a player who can score you a goal out of nothing ...

Seamus Coleman and Victor Anichebe has both signed new
four-and-a-half year deals with the club.
UPDATE: According to Tottenham's official website, Tottenham
have completed the signing of Steven Pienaar. Pienaar signed a
four-and-a-half year deal with the club.
January 17th, 2011: According to the Liverpool Echo, Everton
have given Tottenham permission to speak with Pienaar as they
have now agreed upon a transfer fee.
According to Everton's official website, Leicester City have signed 28-year-old
Everton striker Yakubu on loan for the rest of the season with
the option of making the deal permanent in the summer. Yakubu expressed his delight at the move
saying,
"It means a lot to me to be joining Leicester City and to be given this chance .
UPDATE: According to the Daily Post, Everton do not plan on
selling defender Phil Neville. Manager David Moyes said,
"I spoke with Harry Redknapp briefly before the transfer window opened ... (Tottenham chairman)
Daniel Levy and (Everton chairman) Bill (Kenwright) had an even briefer conversation at our recent
game against Spurs and mutually agreed that this would go no further.
According to Ian Doyle at the Daily Post, Bayern Munich have given up their
chase for Everton defender Leighton Baines. Bayern Munich
chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said,
"We cannot force him (Baines) to join us .
