No Euro 96, quando nos deslocámos para a zona de Nottingham, para jogar com a Turquia e a Croácia, ficámos instalados num excelente hotel nos arredores dessa cidade. Chama-se Priory Hotel, Breadsall, Derby. Fizemos vários amigos, como é habitual nestas situações, e um deles, de seu nome Trevor Willdig, funcionário desse hotel, mantém até hoje, contacto regular comigo e com outros elementos da nossa delegação, incluindo jogadores.
