With the news of Sebastien Le Toux joining the Vancouver Whitecaps on a trade today. It has to,
no, it must be pointed out exactly how stacked these Whitecaps are on offense.
Just look at these names currently on the roster (and in camp):
- Camilo
- Eric Hassli
- Atiba Harris
- Omar Salgado
- Darren Mattocks
- Davide Chiumiento
- Lee Nguyen
- Long Tan
- Sebastien Le Toux
- Etienne Barbara (not currently signed)
Holy smokes.

If Sebastien Le Toux makes an appearance at PPL Park this summer for his second MLS All-Star
Game, he won't be representing the home team. He'll be doing it as a member of the Vancouver
Whitecaps.
The Philadelphia Union officially announced that they have dealt Le Toux to the Whitecaps,
acquiring an undisclosed sum of allocation money in exchange for its leading scorer and 2010 MLS
All-Star.
Happy Wednesday to you. Several things on the docket today. The first thing that caught my eye was
this week was Vancouver's acquiring of
Etienne Barbara's rights. Barbara was a fantastic
player for much of the 2011 NASL season. His 20 goals and many assists earned him Golden Boot
honors for North America's second tier.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC coach Martin Rennie has acquired the MLS discovery rights to Carolina star
striker Etienne Barbara, who blossomed during Rennie's tenure with the RailHawks in D2. The
Whitecaps acquired the rights to sign Barbara from the Montreal Impact Tuesday in a trade that
sent defender Glenir Garcia to Montreal.
Playing for the Carolina RailHawks in 2011, Etienne Barbara had what many would consider a dream
season. Playing in NASL 1st season he set records in the league while racking up 20 goals and 9
assists. He was named to the NASL Starting 11. He was also named the leagues Most Valuable Player
and the [.

For all the dominance the Puerto Rico Islanders and the Carolina Railhawks enjoyed during the

serious danger of being home in time for Halloween.
The Puerto Rico Islanders were decimated by international callups and face a difficult task in
overturning a 3-1 deficit in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.

After a disappointing 1-1 mid-week draw to Minnesota, the Carolina Railhawks were looking to come

If there were any doubts about the dominance of the Carolina Railhawks after two winless games,
they were removed with a 4-1 trouncing of FC Edmonton on Saturday.
Pablo Campos snapped a goalless drought that lasted nearly 700 minutes with a masterful brace to
take the forward's goal total to eight on the season.

Major League Soccer's next franchise is going through some hard times in U.S. Soccer's second
division.
The Montreal Impact is reeling from the sudden resignation of coach Marc Dos Santos earlier in
the week. The Impact is off to an atrocious start, winning only twice in 11 games and sitting
seventh in the standings, well outside a playoff spot.

The Atlanta Silverbacks have earned five points from 12 games, conceding 22 goals along the way.
Conversely, the Carolina Railhawks have opened up an 11-point lead atop the NASL table and have

Rob Kinnan PhotographyI wrote a much longer article on the Railhawks recent win here. Still after
watching the recent victory by the Carolina Railhawks over FC Tampa Bay, a few things stay on my
mind.
Etienne Barbara is on fire. He cannot be stopped at the moment. His goal scoring and his assists
are a byproduct of his attitude though.
UEFA has confirmed eleven stadia as venues for the 2016 European Championship.

The NASL season is 10 weeks old, and the dominance of the Carolina Railhawks is beginning to
feel a bit repetitive.
Etienne Barbara was named "Player of the Month" for May in one of the easiest decisions the
league has ever made. The Maltese striker scored seven goals and provided five assists in only five
matches in May, leading the Railhawks to a 5-0-0 record during that time.
Welcome to week #9 of the IMSoccer News North American Soccer League Podcast.

Etienne Barbara was named the North American Soccer League Player of the Month today for the
Month of May. This is the second month in a row Barbara has won the award. He has also been player
of week in the NASL 4 times in the first 8 weeks of the season.
Shutouts were the rule of the day on this Memorial Day weekend as defense dominated NASL Week 8
play. The league-leading Carolina RailHawks were the only team to dent the scoreboard as they
beat the Atlanta Silverbacks on late goals 2-0, while the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and Montreal
Impact played to a scoreless draw, as did host NSC Minnesota and FC Tampa Bay.
Rob Kinnan PhotographyThe Carolina Railhawks were looking to capitalize on the winless Atlanta
Silverbacks when they came to Cary, NC. They were also hoping to secure their fifth straight league
victory. The Railhawks were coming off an impressive 3-0 win over second place Puerto Rico, a team
they utterly dominated the week before.

Utter Dominance. That is the only way to describe what the Carolina Railhawks accomplished last
night in their 3-0 win over the Puerto Rico Islanders. With the win Carolina improved an unbeaten
streak to seven straight matches and asserted a strong hold over the league table.
