In this week's review section, we congratulate The Czech Republic, The Republic of Ireland,
Portugal and Croatia on Euro 2012 qualification, while Guus leaves Turkey and Suarez makes the back
pages for the wrong reason.

Even Damien Duff can't believe what he saw. No sneaky handballs. No dodgy refereeing decisions.
Just delicious, organic, line-caught wild Alaskan qualification.
Thanks to their stonking 4-0 first-leg victory in Talinn, the Republic of Ireland breezed
their way unencumbered past Estonia with a 1-1 draw in the return-leg in Dublin last night enough
to see Ireland emerge from the play-offs with a 5-1 aggregate winning margin and a spot in the pots
for Euro 2012 safely tucked under their belts.
So finally the Irish have something to cheer about Well, for another while anyway! The boys in
green have qualified for Euro 2012 after beating Estonia 5 1 on aggregate. They played a 1 1 draw
earlier this evening, Ireland's goal coming from Stephen Ward. This is the first major tournament
that Ireland [.
After the first leg of the Euro 2012 play-offs, there were a wide variety of results to compare
and analyze before the second leg on Tuesday. Some ties already look finished, while some are still
very much alive.
We take a look at one thing we learned from each match.
Croatia remain world class
A 3-0 demolition of Turkey reaffirms that despite missing out on the World Cup, Croatia are
still a team with enough quality and talent to win the European Championships.
Middlesbrough forward Tarmo Kink has acknowledged the depth of the Ireland team that arrived in
Estonia for the first leg of the Euro 2012 qualification playoff between the two nations but has
singled out Spartak Moscow's Aiden McGeady as the biggest threat.
Kink, who has scored four times in 22 appearances for his Championship outfit, is wary of other
seasoned Irish performers such as the Los Angeles Galaxy's Robbie Keane and Fulham's Damien Duff
but admits that the 25-year old McGeady is the one striking fear in Estonian hearts.
Rep. of Ireland will hope they can wipeout past play-off's heartache against Estonia on Friday
in Tallinn before finishing the job off at the Aviva on Tuesday night.

All but four countries have booked their ticket to next summer's finals in Poland and Ukraine,
but the quality among the eight undecided sides have created some intriguing ties, with the
prospect of going on a run a la Greece always ever-present.
The play-off's two legs will be played on the 11th and 15th of the coming month, with the
following countries paired against each other in the final decisive battles of the qualifying
phase.
The various football leagues in the Baltic States are approaching the halfway stages of the 2011
campaign. Defending champions Flora Tallinn and FK Ekranas still remain unbeaten at the top of the
Estonian Meistriliiga and Lithuanian A Lyga respectively whilst Latvia's
Virsliga saw leaders FK Ventspils lose for a second time in less than a week.

The comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo are vast: the obscene skills, the personality, the abs, the
diving it's all there if in slightly watered down form for Alexis Sanchez.
Alexis also retains the possibility of this summer's most expensive signing not quite CR
territory, however as he's heavily rumored to be off to Barcelona for many many wheelbarrows of
euros.
consideriamo.
You can laugh.

This week's main report looks at the qualifying groups of the 2012 European Championships that
will take place in Ukraine and Poland next summer.
France v Brazil? Portugal v Argentina? Germany v Italy? Bosh. The big game of the international
friendly week was found far off in the corner of Antalya, Turkey, where Bulgaria and Estonia
scrapped it out to a 2-2 draw. Not your typical marquee friendly, but this wasn't your typical
game.
There were pregame rumblings that the fix was in, and the fact that all four goals came via
penalties did nothing to quiet the whispers.
The Baltic Champions' Cup, the first of many a pre-season indoor tournament in Eastern Europe in
the next two months, takes place in the Olympic Sports Centre in the Latvian capital of Riga this
weekend in a mini-tournament exclusive to the national champions of the three domestic leagues in
the Baltic States.
