I want proof of greatness

La Liga Report 29 October @ 08:41 AM EST

This Saturday and Sunday Barca, Real Madrid, and Valencia all have matches against undermatched opponents. The thing is: I'm not expecting blowouts. No, I'm thinking we have some real issues on our hands.

Barca gets Osasuna, Real Madrid gets Getafe, and Valencia gets Malaga. I know these seem like easy wins but I'm not sure of anything anymore.

La Liga Report 20 October @ 06:42 AM EST

Last week I went on and on about how Sevilla is the most overlooked club in all of La Liga. They have beaten among the best (Real Madrid) and going into last weekend they were among the hottest clubs in all of the world. Well you can say that I gave Sevilla the dreaded curse as well. The club's winning ways would come to an end last weekend with a loss to Deportivo La Coruna.

Sevilla FC’s Defeat of Real Madrid Announces Their Presence in the La Liga Title Race

La Liga Talk 05 October @ 03:30 AM EST

In terms of the football played on the pitch, the Sevilla Real Madrid clash qualified as the best match of the young La Liga season. Honorable mentions to Athletic Bilbao's 3-2 victory over Villarreal CF in Round 3 and the pulsating 2-2 draw between Valencia and Atlético Madrid last Saturday night, but this fixture contained everything that a writer and a supporter wanted: back stories prior to the game, vigorous and attacking football, tensions boiling over the players at hand, and incredible stops by both goalkeepers.
