Domenech has pulled a rabbit out of the hat in Gignac.

Gignac put the match to rest with a sumptuous third.

Benzema got the start up front along with ever-presents Thierry Henry and Sidney Govou.

France's lineup was something like this:

Gignac
Henry Gourcuff Anelka
Toulalan Diarra
Evra Escude Gallas Sagna
Lloris

With Henry and Anelka, it was a bit like a 4-2-1-3, but it was essentially the France formation (4-2-3-1).

And although it looks to me like Domenech is picking just about the right players, the team play is lacking fluidity.

France 1-1 Romania World Cup 2010 Qualifying Highlights (Video)

France continue to make hard work of their qualifying group and find themselves in the likely position of having to pass a play-off test to make it to South Africa 2010. Barcelona man Thierry Henry put the home side ahead only for Sevilla defender Julien Escude to score an own goal soon afterwards to level the game.

FC Barcelona vs. Sevilla preview: Barca has to win

After Real Madrid's dramatic 3-2 win yesterday against Getafe, Barca needs a win tonight against Sevilla in order to keep the distance at 6 points.

This weekend, Barca won an easy 1-0 victory at Getafe, while Sevilla lost a 3-1 at Valencia in an amazing game. The game also resulted in a couple of suspensions for Sevilla, as left back Adriano got a straight red card and goalkeeper Palop received his 5th yellow card of the season.
