Johnson continues his return

Bitter and Blue 04 November @ 04:47 PM EST

"On the other side of things, Michael Johnson has had a massive absence from injury for a long, long time, so being in the squad will be a big lift for him."

Johnson's call-up comes after the 21-year-old recovered from a long-term abdominal problem that limited him to eight City appearances last season.

Big night from Joe Hart

Bitter and Blue 26 June @ 06:51 PM EST
A big performance from Joe Hart saw England under-21 side through to the final of the European Championships against Germany.
This despite throwing away a 3-0 half-time (with Nedum Onouha grabbing one of the goals) to see Sweden level at 3-3. Not only did Hart make a couple of crucial saves but he netted England's second penalty in the shoot-out. Click to continue reading...

Theo Grande

OK Football Finder 13 June @ 01:00 AM EST

I hate that I do!

Arsene's been whinging again, spouting some sphill about the player Fabio calls our most important. The lad Walcott and how he is being overused and will he burn out by next summer. Mmm, let me think, 2 extra England games, is that really gonna push young Theo over the brink, I don't think so Arsene, or don't you see it like that?

Miller earns under-21 call up

Bitter and Blue 15 November @ 06:10 PM EST
Ishmael Miller will be seeing some familiar faces after being called up to the England Under 21 squad.

The powerful striker has been in a rich vein of form since starting a season-long loan spell at West Brom in August, bagging nine goals for Tony Mowbray's side.

He now links up with Stuart Pearce after the former City boss was hit by a number of injuries to his original selection.

Trio feature for under-21's

Bitter and Blue 22 August @ 12:31 PM EST
Nedum Onouha, Joe Hart and Michael Johnson all featured for the under-21's 1-1 draw against their Romanian counterparts yesterday evening.
I didn't see the game but believe that the Romanian goal owed much to a touch of misfortune from both Onouha and Hart, but both will be permanent fixtures in the side I imagine and add further weight against the argument that the club has ignored English talent since Sven-Goran Eriksson took over.
