Blood brothers Carra and G-Nev
Famous Scouse-hater and Mancunian legend Gary Neville once said "I can't stand Liverpool, I
can't stand the people, I can't stand anything to do with them," the kind of unbridled malevolence
which has made the former United and England star something of a hate figure on Merseyside (not

Anointing a youngster "future England regular" is an exercise both in optimism and presumption.
There have been several recent nominees for the position future England star from Jermaine Defoe,
through Jack Wilshere, Andy Carroll and even Adam Johnson.
Liverpool have been informed they must pay £12 million if they want to acquire the services of
22-year-old midfielder ace Vurnon Anita, after the youngster agreed a new contract at Ajax with a
minimum release clause included.
Anita's new deal will keep him at the club until 2014, but the midfielder's release clause will
leave open the possibility of a switch to a larger European club.
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish's bid to make QPR star Adel Taarabt his first signing since taking
over as permanent boss has been stepped up a notch with the news that he is prepared to offer
marquee signing Joe Cole in part-exchange.
Taarabt lit up the Championship this season as he led Rangers to the title and a Premier League
return, immediately sparking interest from a number of top clubs including Arsenal, Manchester
United and Chelsea - as well as Liverpool.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has targeted a pre-season return for the Reds after he went under

suffered a further setback which has left him looking a frustrated figure on the sidelines.
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has accepted a Football Association charge for using
offensive language, but not the automatic two-match ban.
The 25-year-old swore into a pitchside camera after completing his hat-trick in Saturday's 4-2
win at West Ham and the FA ban meant he was set to miss the league game against Fulham and the FA
Cup semi-final against Manchester City.
England star Jack Wilshere is to become a father at the age of 19.
The Arsenal midfielder has been told that his ex-girlfriend is pregnant - although the pair
recently ended their three-year relationship.
Kenny Dalglish has decided Liverpool need to sign quality wide boys to bring out the best in
£35million striker Andy Carroll.
That's why the Liverpool boss is making the recruitment of Ashley Young from Aston Villa a top
priority for the summer.
Young has declined the chance to extend his Villa contract and with just a year left on his current
deal will be a prime transfer target this summer.
