After flirting with Arsenal and Chelsea during the summer transfer window, Gary Cahill will
likely be heading to Chelsea in January after a transfer fee was agreed upon with Bolton
Wanderers.
The central defender has become an England national team regular and will look to stabilize a
defense that will lose Alex in January and could be without John Terry for an extended period
following a criminal racism charge.
England national team got themselves a pretty good draw in their Euro 2012 campaign, considering
all the worse possibilities, being paired with Ukraine, France and Sweden obviously isn't the
toughest group on paper.
This drawing result apparently gave confidence to the Union Jack's manager, Fabio Capello, who
revealed that his team obviously got a pretty comfortable group on paper especially compared to
Group B which consist the likes of Holland, Germany, Portugal and Denmark.
It was a process that took around six years from top to tail in total, and it came in three very
distinct phases. I had been a supporter of the England national team, reasoning that, with no
foreign blood in the family tree and a knowledge that we weren't all as bad as we were painted, I
had to have someone to follow for international tournaments.

The U.S. WNT players did a lot of different and fun stuff on their six-week breaks before the team
opens camp this Monday in Arizona, but only one of them traveled to a different country to support

Liverpool's European Cup winning captain Tommy Smith has criticised Manchester United Striker Wayne
Rooney over his stupid red card against Montenegro in a recent European Championship qualifier.
In his column for the Liverpool Echo, Smith - who was (amazingly) sent off only once in 638 games
for Liverpool - suggested that Rooney needs to grow up:
"The lad brings it upon himself.
Over the last 21 years, the England national team has persistently failed at the World Cup and the
European Championships. Blame has regularly been attributed to failed managers, and the so-called
'Golden Generation' of pampered Premier League primadonnas. However, there is one common
denominator underpinning England's continual failure, and that is the negative influence of
Manchester United players.

Injuries once again hog the headlines with regards to Arsenal Football Club. I know it happens
to every single club and not only to ours. The feeling for us though is the only one I care about.
Every single season since the last major trophy that we won, our squad has been besieged with
injuries, not just those minor ones but also long term ones.

If all the world's literature were set on fiyah, which of the following footballers' books would
you attempt to save?
In dire needs of quality injection in the midfield, Arsenal left stranded in the desert again as
after the departure of Cesc Fabregas and soon Samir Nasri, Arsene Wenger's team still can't field
their talented Englishman, Jack Wilshere, due to injury set back.
Revealed by Wenger himself ahead of the Gunners' Champions League tie against Udinese on
Wednesday, August 24, the French tactician stated that Wilshere might need another two or three
weeks to recover.

Michael Steele/Getty Images(Bleacher Report)While Everton's Phil Jagielka and Blackburn Rovers
Christopher Samba are great candidates for the gaping hole in Arsenal's defense, there is only one

That player is Bolton Wanderers and England National Team defender Gary Cahill.
Michael Regan/Getty Images(Bleacher Report) Give Me Football confirmed this morning that once again
Stewart Downing is in demand at Liverpool. It has been no secret that Kenny Dalglish is a huge
admirer of the former Middlesborough academy graduate and he is keen to add the England
International to his squad.
Alex Livesey/Getty Image (Bleacher Report) Liverpool continue to go after young talent as they are
reportedly now battling Arsenal for the signature of Blackburn Rovers starlet centerback Phil Jones

Valued at around £16m it would be another example of the Reds sticking to their youth policy after
having just wrapped up the signature of Sunderland wide-man Jordan Henderson.

League.
