So, Fabio Capello quits as the England national coach. This is, perhaps, unsurprising
considering the dog's abuse that he has taken while leading the national team through an almost
flawless qualification campaign, before finding that the decision over who would take the England
captain's arm-band was taken away from him without consultation.

Welcome back to TGIF, just a short blog today, having just finished work. The wires are humming
with the Blatter story and I make no apologies for joining the outcry calling for Blatter to
resign. He has become the unacceptable face of apologism for heinous attitudes. His comments on
Homosexuals going to Quatar, wanting Women to wear seductive football strips and finally that
players experiencing racist abuse from their opponents should just accept it and shake hands

- Netherlands

- Germany
- England
- Uruguay
- Brazil
- Italy
- Portugal
- Argentina
- Croatia

There's been more player on referee violence down in Argentina again, this time in a 5th Division
match between Union San Guillermo and Atletico Tostado, this time the referee made the smart choice
of running off the pitch and scaling a fence. Considering that I'm posting this on the eve of a new
English Premier League season, makes me wonder whatever became of the England FA's respect
campaign.
