As a fan of a Non-League side it's very rare that I have anyone to talk to about the team I
support. I completely understand why some people will have little or nothing to say about the
Non-League but what really gets on my nerves is when I hear people writing it off as being a poor
level of football.
After another close shave with relegation last year Forest Green Rovers have enjoyed a decent
start to the season, they've picked up a few points, turned down an offer from Luton for striker
Reece Styche, who then signed a new deal to keep him at the New Lawn and seen six of their players
named in the England C squad.
Will Gary Johnson's Northampton Town be swelled by an influx of new fans come next season?
How willing would you be to switch your allegiance to another team – one based 15 miles
away?
Most fans would be recoiling in horror at this prospect, but for one team's supporters, it could
be the future.

After 120 minutes of goalless toil, AFC Wimbledon beat Luton Town on penalties in the Blue
Square Premier League play-off final at Eastlands to secure themselves Football League status for
next season an astounding feat once you factor in that the club were only formed as a non-league
outfit nine short years ago in protest over the FA's decision to dissolve the original Wimbledon
and replace them with 'Franchise FC' 80 miles up the M1 in Milton Keynes.
When the Houston Dynamo traded up to grab Indiana striker Will Bruin the deal looked like
another shrewd move by head coach Dom Kinnear. A month and a half into his rookie season, Bruin is
making Kinnear and the Dynamo look like geniuses.
Bruin has slid right into the Houston starting lineup and been a force, scoring four goals and
proving to be a handful for opposing defenses.
