How Liverpool's Transfer Spending Compares

Anfield Talk 26 October @ 03:08 PM EST
On the eve of this season, Liverpool manager Rafa Bentiez bemoaned his side's lack of financial power. James Curtis blog: Eboue back to his worst

Arsenal Insider 26 October @ 07:41 AM EST

by JAMES CURTIS Not surprisingly there was a general consensus on Sky Sports' coverage yesterday to avoid discussing in depth the nature of West Ham's goals. But as we can only cringe at the lack of heat generated in the studio over the dubious rulings of Chris Foy, Arsenal must first take a look at themselves as the primary benefactors who brought about their own destruction.

EPL Talk 25 October @ 02:53 PM EST

There is reason to be concerned.

If AZ Alkmaar was a foreshadowing, the Gunners did their best to not heed the warning. Anyone who has watched this team over the past five years knew what was coming, both in the Netherlands and at Upton Park. It's just too predictable.

And We’re Back

The Offside - Arsenal 15 October @ 09:10 AM EST

Players report back to London today, and hopefully by the end of today or early tomorrow we'll have an inventory of who picked up knocks playing in internationals. At the moment, the only one I've heard is Gael Clichy, who injured his thigh playing for France yesterday. This must have frustrated Wenger, who was actually commentating on the match for French television, noted that Clichy was hurt and should be substituted, only to watch him struggle through to the end of the game.

Do Arsenal still need to replace Adebayor?

Arsenal Insider 15 October @ 06:00 AM EST

One of the most remarkable things about this season so far apart from the painful fact that we trail the scum in the table, is the fact our central defender Vermaelen is top scorer. Now is the fact that we have had thirteen different players score goals in the Premier league a good thing or something to worry about?

Arsenal Misfit Emmanuel Eboue Actually Quite a Good Player (Video)

Caught Offside 28 September @ 08:08 AM EST

Thanks to the commenter who brought this nice compilation video to my attention. It effectively shows, in edited form, that the much our previously much maligned utility player is actually quite a decent player when he puts his mind to it. Yes he will probably only ever be used as cover, but the fact that he can adapt to a few positions can be very useful to us.

After archiving the Carling Cup's third round with a smile, it's time to concentrate on the English Premiership and a tricky away visit to Craven Cottage, a game which we lost last season.

We of course welcome Andrey Arshavin back in the squad and considering all the wasted chances against Wigan, it's nice to have a prolific goalscorer back in the side.
