Chicago Red Stars forward and University of Illinois All-American Ella Masar is headed to Augsburg,
Germany, as she joins the U.S. Women's National Team for the squad's Oct. 29 match against
defending FIFA World Cup champion Germany. However, the U.S. WNT loses another Red Star with

Great video by the WPS! I only managed to interview one WPS player this year, Ella Masar and
she was awesome, but next year I hope to do a lot more!

Chicago Red Stars forward Ella Masar will miss 4 to 6 weeks because of a hip injury suffered during
Sunday's 1-all draw against FC Gold Pride in Women's Professional Soccer action. The team announced
Wednesday that the former University of Illinois standout tore four muscles when colliding with FC
Gold Pride goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart in the second half.
