Few stories floating round in the Twitter-verse that I thought I'd comment on in more depth.
Firstly, the guy over at Republik of Mancunia produced one of his periodic stats analyses, with the
goal, I presume, of showing that United have the worst injuries record in the prem. However, in his
analysis, he was forced to admit that we, in fact, have the worst injury record out of the top
English clubs.

Now we have a new PSSI leadership and the brief interregnum of the LPI is becoming that of a poorly
remembered dream. Something happened but we can't quite remember what it was.
FIFA announced that Belize have been cleared to participate in the next round of the World Cup
qualifiers that start next month after the Belizean government reached an agreement with the
Football Federation of Belize (FFB) to hold new elections at the end of the year. Last month, the
government refused to recognize the FFB as the governing body for football in the country and
refused to provide security at the national team's home qualifier against Montserrat.
The world football body, FIFA, has acknowledged the elections of a new Executive Committee of the
Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) on 9 July 2011 and the election of Djohar Arifin Husin as the
new PSSI president. According to a statement published on the FIFA website, the "elective congress,
observed by FIFA, AFC and AFF, was conducted in accordance with the PSSI statutes and the FIFA
They're at it again. Indonesian football seemingly can't make up its mind when it really wants to
be kicked out of FIFA and has now delayed the elections for a new head until 9 July, pushed back
from 30 June. The election, and accompanying congress, will be overseen by up to 1,400 security
personnel!
Blatter won the FIFA elections to become the president again for 4 more year. He won 186 out of 203
votes, 17 abstained from voting. Seems that the world media were very happy about Blatter victory,

So this pro reform group in the PSSI, you know, them what supported Nurdin until he quit and have
now decided football needs reform? Well, they have decided to keep supporting George Toisutta in
his bid to lead the PSSI claiming he is the only person to take football into an era without
government subsidy.

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) flexes its muscles in the on going bitter battle with
the upstart Liga Primer Indonesia. A whole host of match officials have had their licences revoked
while the man whose money is bankrolling the LPI, Arifin Panigoro, has been banned from any
football activities under the jurisdiction of the PSSI.
That's what FIFA members are going to be asked to choose between on June 1. Sepp Blatter or
Mohammad bin Hammam. And surprisingly, it's not an easy decision.Here's the deal. Everyone knows
Sepp is corrupt. And for his part bin Hammam has stated that his corruption will only last two
terms... I mean, his presidency, will only last two terms.
Had difficulty keeping up with events in Indonesia re the PSSI and FIFA so here's what FIFA have to
say.
Indonesia (PSSI): the PSSI should organise the general assembly on 26 March 2011 to elect the
electoral commission and adopt an electoral code based on the FIFA standard electoral code. The
electoral commission will then organise elections before 30 April 2011.

Blatter as FIFA's leader" journalist Grant Wahl has announced his intentions to run for FIFA's
presidency. Current FIFA president Sepp Blatter is running for his fourth term, with elections
falling on June 1.
