Today is another day of outstanding international matches, as Euro 2012 qualification continues and
the USA hosts Colombia in a friendly at PPL Park in Philly. Former Wizards striker Yura Movsisyan
scored earlier in a 4-0 Armenia win against Andorra. Another former Wizards striker, Eddie Johnson,
is with the U.
One of them scored a goal this weekend for Fulham. We've got video proof below. The other committed
to the Armenia national team today, ending speculation that he could one day play for the USA. Read
about Yura Movsisyan's decision here and watch Eddie Johnson's goal here:
EJ scored twice today for Aris.Today, our boys beat Baker University 7-1 in a friendly at
the Swope Park Training Center. The goals came early and often, with Kei Kamara scoring two in the
first 20 minutes of the match. The rest of the goals came from Josh Wolff, Davy Arnaud, Sunil
Chhetri, Igor Kostrov and Santiago Hirsig.
The USA 2010 away kit will debut Wednesday in Amsterdam. Buy yours here. This Wednesday is a
HUGE day in international soccer, as the only FIFA fixture date in the run-up to this summer's
crown jewell, the FIFA World Cup. The USA will be taking on the Netherlands at Amsterdam ArenA
starting at 1:30 p.
For those of you who follow the English Premier League or any of the other big European leagues,
today is the final day for transactions before the summer. So far, the action has been relatively
quiet, with Fulhamerica (well, they're not really anymore, but lots of us Yanks still like them)
one of the more active clubs.
With the turning of midnight tonight, the silly season (the international transfer window) will be
in full effect. Some moves we already know? Landon Donovan to Everton on a 10-week loan. David
Beckham to AC Milan through the World Cup. Former Wizards forward Yura Movisyan to Randers FC. It's
now looking like another former Wizards striker, Eddie Johnson, could be moving in January.
The USMNT will face Denmark today at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPN Classic and ESPN2 (for an explanation of
this, click here). You can watch the match at either 810 Zone thanks to a watch party sponsored by
Budweiser. The USMNT Blog has revealed the 18-man roster for today, which includes both Jimmy
Conrad and former Wizards striker Eddie Johnson.

Jimmy Conrad has been named to the US National Team for the third time this season, after first
joining the team for the CONCACAF Gold Cup then re-joining for the final two World Cup qualifiers
of the hexagonal.
Today, the Carling Cup was in play for members of the Football League in England. Former Wizards
striker Eddie Johnson got the start for Fulham, playing 90 minutes** so far in a contest against
Manchester City that is in extra time. For the full round of results that included a big Everton
win over Hull City (without Altidore in the 18), click here.
While we don't endorse the name he is called in this video, we just wanted to remind you of this
play involving Oswaldo and Eddie Johnson. We now play Sanchez and Santos Laguna June 28 at CAB. See
you there.
Our match July 11 at New England is now part of a doubleheader at Gillette Stadium. As Mike from
Down the Byline told me a bit ago, that sounds like a great time for a road trip. Check out the
info from the Revs' website. What do you guys think? Would you be willing to head to New England
that day for some Wizards and National Teams action?
Davy Arnaud is the Wizards representative at the upcoming U.S. National Team camp in Commerce City,
Colorado. Davy has appeared for the U.S. one time previously, a late cameo against World Power
Brazil in September of 2007. Check out the whole roster here from U.
Wow, what a crazy holiday Monday in the world of international soccer. Man City gets a new owner
and promptly outspends Roman Abromavich and Chelsea for Brazilian star Robinho. Man United goes
ahead with the purchase of Dimitar Berbatov from Tottenham, allowing them to finalize two other
signings and take a ManU player in on loan.
EJ made his first-team debut for Fulhamerica today, entering in the 76th for fellow American and
close friend Clint Dempsey. Fulham fell late to West Ham, however, 1-0. See Fulham's match report
here and Soccernet's here.
Open tryouts are in the last session of the day at KC Sports Lodge. It's been a good day with some
quality soccer played.
Back from his loan to Cardiff, former Wizards striker Eddie Johnson scored today in a friendly
against Melbourne Victory, former club of current D.C. United midfielder Fred. Johnson will be
looking to rejoin Fulham full-time and stay in the Premier League.
