Bolton this week they turned around and sold him to Vancouver today.

Ted and Chris return for a special off-season edition of ATL Extra to discuss the news around
MLS from the past few weeks. Lisa Eisenmenger joins the show in the first segment to discuss
potential changes to college soccer that could effect MLS. We also discuss the upcoming SuperDraft
and other hot topics.
American college soccer is currently under siege, and from it's governing body, the NCAA.
L.E. Eisenmenger goes into depth about the challenges presented to College Soccer, which will
impact soccer at all levels in the United States if these potential changes are passed.
The United States college soccer program stands in jeopardy right now as the NCAA moves to
eliminate Division 1 non-championship season competition (spring games) and beyond that, reduce
overall competition by 10%.

Soccer Blossoming in the USA
Now we are moving into the last game of the MLS calendar, it feels fitting that we reflect on
another successful year for the Major league soccer. I will be looking into their current stature
with the other big four sports in america and where i think they need to go for them to expand and
grow bigger.
I've talked before about being a marketer by trade, so my intrigue about a number of recent MLS
marketing related news items should come of no real surprise. What was a bit more surprising
was my inability to immediately tie them into a neat and tidy theme, with the exception of the
inevitable thoughs about how these items affect, or compare to, our local New England
Revolution.

Some will call it a mercy killing. The New York Post's Brian Lewis tweeted this morning that Red
Bulls coach Hans Backe was told by GM Erik Soler not to expect SuperLiga to happen in 2011. On top
of Columbus technical director Brian Bliss sharing the same news last week, it looks like the
tournament everyone loves to hate might finally be put to rest.
